i have a 550 ml (mililiter) spray bottle and a bout a month old plant in a 2 gallon pot, still in vegetative state... how much water should i be giving it everyother day? (in mililiters..) ...
also, my plant has rust colored spots on its leaves, and its leaves are KIND of curling up towards the light.. not too much. the closet stays around 76-79 degrees, but under the light its about 80-85 degrees... will this cause my plant to go hermie or male? i have 3 fans blowing in there at the moment, but theyre not doing much and i cant afford a heavy duty exhaust fan.. anyone have any ideas on what i should do? I didnt know growing a plant was so much work!

18 inches away is fine as long as the plants dont get to hot, the closer the better up to about 12" away.

water when the soil is dry, theres another thread near this discussing the same thing.

85 is a little warm but not to bad.

its hard to say, it depends on soil drainage, plant type, heat etc.

if the leaves are looking good then its ok....it sounds about right for a smallish plant, matbe a bit more, its water needs will increace as it grows though.

Dont use measurements, use your eye and a cocktail stick. When u water you will notice your plant sort of stands up to attention. Looks percky. When u water too much it will droop alittle, and if you dont water it will droop. Wait will its droopin abit and water.
The cocktail sticks helps to show you the moisture of the soil, stick it in and if there is dirt on it there is no need to water, if there is no soil stuck to it give it some water. Basically when the top 2-3" dry you should water, but not loads. I aim to keep my plant looking percky. If it starts to droop ill give it some water, in 30 mins youll see the difference
