haha what i have i dont have anything meng i know jack shit bout growing for the past couple of years ive just been a lazy ass goin out and buying some bud. So right now i could probly get some seeds wenever i want and i have acouple pots not sure how big top soil prolly not the best soil ive got a black light prolly wont do shit any recormended lights and i see theres some cycles in growing as ive been reading more about it. i wanna grow in like maybe a month i need to find out what ive got to buy and do in order to get some mean tasting bud.

First it's a weed! If you give it halfway decent soil, proper light and water, it will grow! The black light won't grow your plant. Get some CFLs or some tube fluoros, if you can't afford a HPS or other good light. I use cool whites for veg and GE Bath and Kitchen for bud. More light is better. Keep your flouros about 1 - 2 inches from your plants. CFLs should be a bit further away since they are warmer. Grow organically- you don't need to smoke poisons. I start my plants under CLFs and place them on the window sill during the day. They get 24/7 light. I start them in some dark blue plastic cups (16 oz). I can see the roots to judge when to transplant to gallon pots, but not much light gets through to disturb the roots. At one month, I top the plants to increase the number of growth tips. At 6 or 7 weeks, I start to taper off the light, dropping it down little by little to 12/12. They bud like crazy, I kill (and smoke) the males. Although urban legend says males are useless to smoke, I find they are quite smokable, just less potent than females. They get me high. I take cuttings from the best female(s) to get back up to my legal limit, if necessary (I'm a Cali med user). I have a microscope (try Radio Shack- $10) and use it to help judge which females to clone and when to harvest. If you start with the best soil, most remaining plant problems are from overfeeding and overwatering. I finish my plants up in 5 and 6 gallon pots. Be careful with your wiring and keep things clean. Check out the organic growing sections of various boards and learn the early signs of nutrient deficiencies- some strains of pot are very "hungry" plants.

:) Hey I havn't grown before don't know all the shit i gotta to grow yet and i wanna make a good amount of shit to get me by being a pot head and all lol. Also im getting sick and tiered of getting ripped off for AZ shit. Can you guys gimme some ideas on what to buy to get started and wat to make i do live with my parents hahaha so im growin in a closet or will be so i need to know what i need and what i gotta do please gimme some help once i start growing ill post pics!:)

Hydro is better by far, the smoking poison is a bunch of crap, you use Ferts in soil just like in hydrow dont you?, 2nd organic takes too long hydro is faster and better, why do u think hydro sells for $400 or more an ounce? its not because its sub par to organic. Yah im 15 lol i would never admit to be living with my parents at 25. And yah this site is good i like it alot its cool to see the finished product. And i meant by not going to get caught and getting the right stuff as in my mom dosnt go in my room at all and im growing in my closet my ventalation system would probly be opening the door and airing it out every so often with a fan blowing in there maybe a de-humidifire?? i dunno bout the ventalation just yet so if u have any ideas please suggest.

Yah true i am worried about the case of a fire and getting caught i mean i plan on not telling anyone and to use safety first. I wanna get a smoke detector put it in there and have a ABC fire estinguisher at hand just in case thats actually what i've been thinking about is the safety and as for the mods. I hope they dont bann me since i smoke just like everyone else and feel the same way about it as the next person on this site i know its illegal for me but same as people 18 (in the U.S.) but in case i do get banned thanks for the tips.

Yo, young-gun, take it from me, don't give up your dreams just cause some older folks are being dicks to you. belive it or not but i grew my first plant when i was 13 years old! i lived in NM so i know what youre saying to access to free seeds, its like in every sack you buy.
First off you shouldnt grow in your house without your parents concent cause it is fucken hard to hide the smell of the weed. if i was you i would have a talk w/ your parents about weed (youre at that age) and tell them you smoke if they dont know already. this will be an honest approach and who knows, your parents might smoke too! they are going to find out sooner or later any ways. if your parents arent ok with it go to a cutty spot (in your backyard even) and grow there. I grew out doors every year from 13 to 17 and learned more every time.
I STILL LIVE W/ MY MOM. i wrote it big so every one can see. i am 19 and this is my second indoor grow. i smoke w/ my mom who is a patient as well as me which gives us legal room to grow more.
MY reccomendation is plant a couple seeds, put them in your window or on your roof, wait till they get a couple inches and plant them outdoors. read this forum and show them care and you will be successfull!
Never give up, marijuana wasnt put here for people who are only legal adults.

first off, bongo is right, you shouldn't be growing without your parents concent. You will risk the life of your loving parents who gave you birth and care of you. Also getting the right stuff doesn't mean you can hide it forever. Growing marijuana is a long term thing. It takes a long time to grow, starting from veg to end of flower.

There's plenty of information and theres even those before you who ask the same question. Do a months worth of research and you will see how dangerous this hobby is, especially when you in the U.S.

I'm not trying to side with anyone but I do feel deeply that you shouldn't be risking your parents lives.
Its true its risky in some areas. you should pay attention to this fact. if a cop caught you trying to grow weed at fifteen he would probably at the worst arest you, put you in juvy over night, and give you 20 hours of community service. you shouldnt grow more then one or two plants at a time. this is why it is smart to grow at a public place with very little people like in a ditch or gully around your area you can ride your bike too.

thanks santacruz organic for the tip and the advise only problem is that its cold here so ill have to wait to plant seeds next year and my mom knows i smoke i cant hide me smoking since i do it quite a bit and i have mentioned growing to her acouple times but she isnt too happy about the idea so i wanted to keep it on the down low lol.

Yes, it would be nice if he told his parents and he should look up the law on property confiscation in his state, but reality is reality. He's a kid! He is going to grow no matter what anyone says! So lighten up a bit, give him some info so he WON'T screw things up! You sound like you've "been there, done that". So how about some positive feedback for the kid? keep it small and undercontrol theres less chance of it gettin sussed and less greif if it does

no aluminum foil and if you do everything they way you are supposed to ( no ghetto rigged b/s) you shouldnt have problems with fire. just get a clouple flouro fixtures, plug them in the wall and put plants under them. that should be free of fire worries. its the same as running a lamp, alarm clock, and a stereo in your room.

Like the other dude said- don't listen to Bongo. Miracle Grow is not the best, but like I said, it's a weed. Your smoke will be a bit harsher than if it was grown with better soil, but you can always water cure it, if it's too bad. (Use the search function on how to do it.) Remember that regular light bulbs won't work- CFLs and fluoros are much better. A regular light bulb will cause stretched out plants because most of the light is a color the plants can't "see".

alright but whats a good soil?? i heard Universal Terra Comp and Foxfarm Ocean Forest were good but i cant get that at my home depot so if they are good ill order them online.

I'm from another country, so I don't use the same brand names, but I know fox farm has a good rep.
However, for all I know their Ocean Forest may be full of nutes and too strong for seedlings.
Most soils have some nuets in them already, that last between 2 - weeks, before you start adding nutes.
You need a mild soil and mild lights in the beginning, and stronger soil or nutes and more lights once use see they're not getting burned.
Sorry, you'll have to wait for someone else to tell you which fox farm product wuill suit you, though.

When people talk about the watts of flourescents and CFL, they always mean the lower number.
So all in all, you have almost 100 watts of flours. That'll do to get you started and as supplement lighting later on. I'm not sue how far you'll get with them, you'll notice when the´plants begin to stretch, that they're not getting enough light, I think you may´get by the first 2 weeks after they've hatched.

I want to get in on this.....I still act like I'm 15 so I feel for the kid. So with that said WTF ARE YOU DOING GROWING IN YOUR PARENTS HOUSE? If you are hiding your grow then they obviously don't want you growing. I'm not mad at you but It comes down to respect man. Your mom either respects your privacy or doesn't care what you do. If your parents respect your privacy then don't do them like that and do shit in their house that they don't want you to do. You WILL have your spot one day and you WILL blow it up properly but until then stick to doing shit that doesn't disrespect them in their home and also put them in danger. Only 5 months and you can get an outdoor grow going. Throw a bandana over your grill and shoot us some snaps of your renegade grow.
And tell whoever is selling you herb that I am going to beat their ass.

I was told by a 24 year grower that all the places he has gotten seeds from, since using the internet to purchase them is from http://www.amsterdammarijuanaseeds.com/ I believe him, ive seen his harvest and the seeds germinating. 95% of all seeds sprouted and made it threw the entire grow start to finish. Definantly one of, if not the best, fast and discreet shipping containers, Ither inside of an Ink Pen, or in a CD case, after my bagseed grow this is were i will be getting all my seeds from now on. :thumbsup:

Bigger than your veg cab, this is when your plants are at their biggest. My babes were moved to 8 kilos of soil in 10liter buckets before going into flowering, and I'm going for small/medium sized Indicas, so you can picture yourself that you'll need something like a sqf for each one.

Why not just do some bagseed first time? Can turn out excellent, no reason why it shouldn't turn out good.

I told my mom bout me growing she seems not happy but not too angry but would this work for ventalation? Mount one of those hurricane fans near the top of my closet then set up a tube that youd use for your dryer coming from the fan to a vent on the top of the door then have another vent at the bottom of the door having a fan blow cool air into the closet and put a dehumidifier in there since the babys will be in a greenhouse sorta plastic case for humidity. Don't get upset if these ideas are foolish. :)

Telling your mom was a great thing to do. The posters here will appreciate it, I think. Generally, this forum usually tells people growing at home without their parents consent to get lost, which is why you had a rough time in the beginning.
I thought you seemed like a nice kid though, who took the manhandling very well :)

I'm not sure what you mean by drier, etc. Maybe you could slap together a diagram or maybe someone else will understand better.

8. Is a fan not sure what kind to use for this either but used to push cool air near the floor outside the closet into the closet too keep down the temp.

9. A small fan to strengthen the stems of the plants and cerculate the air.

What do you guys think?

can you easily access the vegin area with out reaching over your flowering plants?
can you completly seal off the veg + flower sections this "MUST" be lightproof
if your only useing cfls and floros you can cut down on the extraction a small fan or two will surfice
excessife extraction noise will 1, give your grow away 2, keep you up at night
i got a 20" box fan in the summer but it sounded like a chopper was landing on the roof
you can swap and change things throughout the grow but redesigning and rebuilding you grow space when full of plants will piss you right off
have a good think about what you will have to do in your room over the next 10-12 weeks
watering,training,pruning,trimming and tidying,pest control, takeing clones, ect.
make sure you keep thing under control
if mumsey sticks her head in a cupboard with a couple of small plants that are neat, tidy and well managed she wont be as shocked as she would finding a steaming stinking jungle speweing out of your wardrobe
