hey anyone who can/will help!!!

Ive got 15 clones under a 1000 WATT HPS. a fan connected to a cool tube, exits the room and hooks up to a carbon filter outside the room. the intake fan is on the floor and can move 90 cfm. the room is 90 cubic feet. overall the heat is about 89 degrees ferenheit. please heeeeeeelp with any ventilation ideas!

Lower your intake temperature, or get a more powerful fan, or both. I have a 4" 170 CFM fan connected to a 1k light in an air-cooled hood, and that's not really enough fan power to cool the light, so what I did to compensate was lower the temperature in the room itself to like 60 degrees, which keeps it around 77 degrees near the light. I too need a more powerful fan, just lack the money for it at the moment. Looks like a 6" centrifugal is the way to go with a 1k light.

Venting the hood for me doesnt really do much... if I didnt it would be dangerous though.

I have about the same space maybe double, what I would do is get a fan like I installed ill try to dig up a picture.

Ok I cant but one is in my log. I tell about how I cool the same sized space.
Long story short buy a 1050 - 1600 CFM attic fan, some screws, 15 inch ducting and some duct tape, and a router dimmer , maybe 90$ for all of it and you can cool down a stadium. Also can put it on really low, almost silent and move what seems to me like 300 + cfm .

This gives me absolute control over heat / humitidy. Higher it is on the lower my temps and usually higher humidity since outside air is over 50 in the valley of oregon.

That's funny--I have a four inch inline fan that works excellently for cooling my 1kw. However, my set up is in the corner of a larger room. I have actually had to put a small heater in there because the inline fan goes out the window....leaving the window open and the room"over"cooled. I couldn't live (well my plants couldn't) without it--especially during last summer.

i run a 6" 460 cfm exhaust fan for cooling my lights (two 1000whps) which decreased the heat emensly. i also run a 8" exhaust fan for ventilaltion

i run 6" cfm to cool my 1k hps and a 4" 192 cfm for exhaust. Light stays nice and cool

the temp under my light is about 85 degrees, but the room temp is like 77 .. is that cool?

There is no "perfect" temp, but I know for sure you do not want over 78' if not using a Co2 system.

If just using passive ventalation then I would make sure you are around 74, but this varies depending on the grower. I know alot like it 70-74 because bugs and such are much less prone to attack. They thrive at 76+.

The first and for most, thing is that you make sure you can hold your hand , at the upper most point of your plant for 60 seconds and feel totally comfortable, maybe a slight tingle but no burning. If your hand feels hot then your plants " feel " hot.

thanks a lot to everyones information. the light itself is quite high from the plants so their direct heat isn't too bad, its the overall temperature of their chamber. I belive the problem is that it's a completely sealed chamber so it really traps the heat. I'll definitely try to find an attic fan with that much capacity, thanks OregonsDank. The problem is im in Vancouver BC and a lot of stores do not supply fans, excpet for heating fans, due to the season. Random question, other than killing/wilting the plants, what does overheating do to them, (other than lower the photosynthetic rate)?? thanks again to allll! ps. we've been spraying the clones with anti-wilt just so they don't wilt. But isn't the light intensity greatly reduced since the lights are so high (about 5.5 ft above the plants)?? Ok, thanks again.

5.5 feet above the plants?

Are you trying to grow palm trees? :)

I think the plants he is referring to are just clones (less than 2 weeks old) so they dont need tooooo much light, and his room is pretty bright anyways.
