I have just purchased a 5 bedroom house. This is my second grow on my own. My other grow was with my best friend a while back.So I have some experience.

I have 2x600 watthps and 1000watthps. I also have a 400 watt laying around that I would like to use as veg.room light. I won't be running anything else in the house because I have an apartment to live in.

My question is what is the best possibile setup I can run with these lights and room(average bedroom size) space. Thanks a lot for the help guys peace out!

Thought I would give some more detail. I plan on growing, 10 big bud plants,5 master kush planst,5 ak47 plants, and 10 purple kush plants. I need variety I love to smoke a lot I mean a lot!:rasta: I was wondering if it is necessary to use all of these or just maybe one or two of them? I was told that I should by an converter to keep the electric bill down! I never heard of one though. I have purchased an ac/unit for the room as well. I plan on buying the strongets ducting fan possibile for the setup as well.

I figure by not running any other appliances in the house my electric may not be that high hope it is true

Well, if you're not actually going to be living there, I'd still invest in some light timers, and have a few CFLs in light fixtures around the house come on and off here and there, automatically, to make it LOOK like someone is there.

Beyond that, if you just run the lights and fans and AC unit, your electrical useage won't look too insane. If you ran both 600 watt lights, and the 1k light, and the 400 watt light, all of them 24 hours a day, that'd be about 1900 kilowatt hours per month. But most of those lights you'll probably run 12 hours a day, so that brings it down to maybe 1000 kilowatt hours, which isn't unusually high. Just make sure you pay your bills on time and I don't think you have anything to worry about. You may have to keep the three bigger lights on separate breakers, depending on how the electricity is set up in the house, but that won't affect your bill.

Jamstigator's first sentence raises an excellent point. In a recent local news story, a man's 'grow house' was caught and shut down because his neighbors took notice of his frequent, oddly-timed visits to an obviously vacant dwelling. If your neighborhood is too nosy for timed lights to tricks the locals into thinking you live there, I suggest that you arrive each time with a tool box or an odd piece of lumber so you appear to be remodeling the place for resale. I also recommend that you engineer your grow so you don't have to show up at 3AM or multiple times per day.

In your situation, I'd fear a granny with binoculars far more than the power company.

If i was doing a setup like the one you have i would have one big flowering room, one veg. room, one clone room, and one dry room. if you set up your clone room in the bathroom you can turn the shower on once every couple hours to increase humidity and work likes a charm. with this setup you can continiously be flowering and harvesting plants every two weeks. just put plants into the flower room every time you take one out.

My brother actually bought a log cabin to grow once upon a time. His closest neighbors were like 2 miles away, so he could do basically anything he wanted out there. We had a big party one night, and the bonfire started running down, so my bro says, "I'll take care of this right now." Then he ran behind the garage and I heard some splashing sounds, then the whole garage went up in flames (he'd poured gasoline on it). Bro comes back, looks at the garage roaring flames thirty or forty feet into the night sky, and says, "I hated that fucking garage anyway." Lol, I love remote houses! ;)
