Okay, so I just started my plants about 2 weeks ago. I have them in these green plant containers made to hold up to 3 plants a piece. They are roughly 3.5 feet long, and maybe a foot deep or so. Anyway, I bought this soil that comes with vermiculite and perlite, and it has nutrient balls in the soil that the roots will crush when big enough, to feed the plant. I was so excited.
So, right now I have 4 plants going, saving the other 2 spots for when I get these African seeds from a friend. Anyway, I'm sort of worried about what is going on with them. In the first plant that sprouted the saproling leaves (the leaves that were originally the seed shell, I believe) turned completely yellow. In the second plant, it looks like the sap leaves are ABOUT to turn yellow (starting at the stem) but they haven't yet. I talked to a few friends of mine, and they all had different opinions. One of them said that it looked like they were being overfed from the soil, another said that it might be because I was watering them too much (I am using a spray bottle to feed the foliage every day, and I water the soil), yet ANOTHER friend said that it could be a fungus (which worries me to death!!).
As a precation, I've decided to cut back on the foliage feeding to once every other day, and still water the soil once a day.
Does anyone know what it could be? This is my first grow, I'm using a 660V non-HPS light. They are the kind of light that can be used for the first few months of growing. I'm going to be getting an HPS light around the end of December, and using it until the end of January or so.
I wish I could attach some pictures, but my digital camera is screwing up, and it's really making me angry.
Anyway, any help appreciated guys!
