someone posted this in a thread a while back saying their friend grew it and someone called them out and found out they were lying, and for the life of me i cannot remember the name of it. i've been searching for the past 25 minutes for the thread but not luck and i'm not even stoned. i remember that whatever it is its only available in clone form, not seeds. its definitely some beautiful bud:

the guy said it was blackberry and i believe it was determined the pics were taken from somewhere else.

I think Suhl got it right. The only thing I've ever seen (in pictures, never seen the stuff in person) that looks like that is Blackberry. Beautiful looking buds, but if I remember right their not supoosed to be that great a smoke.

It's blackberry... clone-only unfortunately.
Black Russian by SubCool is the same rich purple and has very high THC as well, which is unusual for a purple strain. Unfortunately I can't find BR seeds on the site that deals in SUbcool stuff... but they have other fanstastic strain that carry the colorful trait.

It's been said, but yeah, it's Blackberry or Black Russion, either way, it has Blackberry traits in it, and no seeds available.

That strain is available to medical users though, but as far as finding a bagseed, growing it out, and saying, "my friend grew this" is bullshit.
