Hey a good friend of mine needs some advice. Iâ??ve given mine but I value what everyone here has to say.

He ordered a grow book online to his address with his name (As you need id to pick up package)
No problems there as itâ??s all confidential and legal to buy, right.

So he picks up the package all is good. Then b4 he can get it home he forgot it somewhere, goes back and itâ??s gone!

This was in a store and it was not returned.

This is a pretty sticky situation, I think we can all agree.

Here are some of my thoughts and weâ??d like to hear yours

1) the type of person who would steal someoneâ??s unopened package isnâ??t the best kind.
-So they probably wont go the good Samaritan rout, and turn him in to the cops
or bring it to the address
2) A basic grow book Generally isnâ??t purchased by a huge grow op. And many people might by the book and not grow. Many people might buy the book way b4 they plan to grow.
-So stealing it probably wouldnâ??t be profitable, and it may not exist
3) that is why I think itâ??s a pretty big jump from knowing someone ordered this book, to breaking into their apartment.
4) Itâ??s a pretty low chance that the person who has it is the kind of person who would break in.
5) it is completely impractical to steal plants or anything from his apartment.
-second floor, facing busy street, shit like that
6) moving/killing/whatever to the plants will have no effect on whether someone breaks in, as they obviously wouldnâ??t know what you did.

What do you think he should do.

thanks

Sucks man. I dunno. I had a crop stolen before from inside. Shit sucks, wish him the best of luck.

well, sounds to me like he needs to keep his eyes out for suspicious people, but surely if he left it somewhere the person who has it doesnt know who he is and where he lives, if he's really worried then he should make sure his house is locked when he goes out, simple...

I think that is the point...His name and address were on the unopened package.

Hopefully whoever lifted the package just tossed the wrapper in the trash and made no connection between the book and the person it was delivered to.....I would not worry about the authorities too much, if the packaging was stealthy, once it is opened and the contents discovered it would be pretty hard to connect one to the other....Just have your friend play it cool for awhile, don't do anything (else) that may bring on attention and things will be fine....Hope everything turns out cool.:smokin:

Abattoir Dream pretty much answered the best way since you said your friend is NOT going to pull his crop or move.....buy a decent lock! I think that goes for any indoor grow however...........
