I am setting up as we speak and getting clones ready. I have a 60 degree 12x12 room and going to try to do w/ no ac and lights will be cooled but I would like to know if 1000w will be that much better than 600w considering heat and yield? Thanks

not sure about this system, seems complex, can you adjust the lighting closer or farther if needed?

The 1K is very, very nice, I run a couple, but many people are switching over to 600w's because of heat problems, I mean with the 600w's you lose out on lumens, but it makes up with the ability to be able to get the lights closer and not having to worry about so many venting modifications. Plus 600W HID's are the most efficient when it comes to watt to lumen racial. Many people pull the same yields with the 600 as when they had a 1000, but this depends on growing skill and your set up.
In the summer when the heat picks back up I may traid out one of my 1K's for a 600W and see how it does.

well i think that i may have an alternative if you would like to go the CFL way. ive seen the yeild size and heat problems of both a 600w and a 1000w bring to the table. thats why when i found this light i flipped my shit. http://www.gchydro.com/detail.asp?product_id=Xteklight
this light is insane 1watt=92.59 lumens.......thats 4999 lumens per bulb. I have 3 four foot long ones with four bulbs each and the best thing is you can have it right next to your plants without burning them and your electricity bill is low and wont draw suspicion. (spelling)
Bottom line is, if you are willing to try a CFL like this you wont be dissapointed, i know i wasnt.
just me .02 cents

I am pretty new to growing and trying to figure a system from cloning, vegging and flowering that will be the most productive. I will put clones in a 120 site ez cloner, then hopefully I will get 100 clones into the veg stage in 2 inch net pots then once the bonsai is finished flowering put the 2" into the bonsai. My problem is that the bonsai takes 4x4x2.5", can I just stick the 2" rockwool into the larger? Also, if I flower for 55 days I know they cannot sit in net pots that long and be transplanted. What would be the most productive with the following equipment.
6X12 room
12X12 room
1 digital 1000w light, reflector, ballast
16 site 3 in" netpots hydro system
1 8 bulb 4' t5
1 cool cab
1 bonsai 240
Any ideas on the most efficient way to get a good system going?
I am planning on keeping 5 moms from 5 different strains...thank you!

that rotation station wont give u high yeilding plants but it will have many of them so u will get an overall decent ammount from it. i think u would get more from a standstill system. u could buy one of the ebb/flow systems http://www.77hydrostore.com/ebbgrfldrsy.html and u can get a 6 plant site add on, so that 18 4ft plants in the system, thats alot!!u could use a normal cloning machine and use soil for the mums
