help plants wont finish

hi there its been a long time since i have posted a thread, but my problem is, we have recently changed from soil to hydroponics, the system is quantom hydro, not sure if anyone has heard of it, but the strain we are using is hog, which should be ready to harvest in 8-9 weeks, the first run came down in time, the next batch is now into its 13th week and nowhere near ready, the plants seem to be very tall, even though we took the top noids of just before turning them to 12/12 to stop them growing so tall, as we havent much head room, we have two 600w lights under three systems, each holding 16 plants. we are also looking for a good strain for hydro, something small with high yeild, and good potentcey.

Possible light leak?
You want fast, tasty, strong, etc. go for any BOG strain if you can still find them, or Plan B Collective stuff which he was involved heavily with. Some finish in the high 40s! I think like 47 days! woot.

yeah this is true.. Ive read somewhere that ther is f2 bog seeds avail that give the same kick ass stone. these was done by permission Only of Bog man.

Yeah I have a bunch. I got those F2s too and I was a little disappointed that 2 of the seeds were still green, but if I can get just one good mom from the lot it's all good.
I've also got some BOG mix from sacred seed in Toronto, got it back in August, and Blue Moon Rocks that are just getting going, plus Plan B Collective smashberry and black indica. That's technically BOG stuff too but he collaborated with a couple other breeders on it. I have to say the smashberry is a gorgeous plant and VERY hardy and vigorous! Thumbs up, guys!

For the won't finish problem drop your lights to 10 on 14 off. I just had a crop that I finished the last 2 weeks under 8 on 16 off. They turned out great.

hey, HOG is good enough... trust me, its fuckin good weed, by any chance first time grower, do you live in the south of england? seriously though, hog is amazing, it won the canna cup back in '02. as for it taking so long youve definately got a light leak or something, indica flowers fast, anyway gtg hope you sort it..

thanks for your help, there is a chance we might need to replace our bulbs, i have been told you should change your bulbs at least once a year, what about northen lights, is it not a good plant for hydro?

What are the yields like on fast strains. Is is reduced? is yield vs time flowering a linear curve? or do they produce good yeilds fasT?
