hello all , lil help cyclonite or others ,
lil background = in wtrfarms , room temp =73deg. , rh = 55% , ph = 6.0 , water in res n cells =65deg. , g/h 3 pt. nutes = ppm of 420-500 .
3 blueberry / 1 cotton candy x nycd . they just got their first taste of nutes n jumped like 4in. overnight . got like w/in 8-10in. of 1000w/ hps in cooltube .
largest leaves on blueberry were affected the worst , tips not curled like nute burn , looks like light or heat stress i think ? cotton candy x nycd nat affected as bad . heres a pic.
thanx in adv.

That actually looks like severe Mg deficiency to me. Now that you're feeding them it should not get any worse, but those leaves are FRIED! Well plus you already took them off the plant... :D

hey stinky attic ,
thanx for reply . when started they got 1-1-1 g/h per gal. but ppm was way way weak . now 3-2-1 n 450 average ppm , they've only been in farms like 3 weeks n are 12-16 in tall w/ crazy root sys. already. leaves were only off plant 5 min. before pics. still a lil scitz. bout postin crazy shit on here lol. all remaining leaves were left to fall off on they're own . light is 14-16 in. above them now n all new growth looks fine , no yellowing .
mg. def. = a tad of epsom disolved correct ?

hey thanx abattoir dream ,
i think so too , all leaves that did this were the ones closest to or facing the light . but c/c x nycd didn't do this so it made me wonder ? some ppl. on here said blueberry was very finicky as far as nutes which made me wanna think thats why they did this n not the c/c x nycd . c/c x nycd might just be a much more resilliant strain n deal w/ abuse better ? live n learn .
thanx

8-10 inches does sound awfully close to a 1kw HID light. I grew a few blueberries and they are finicky (at first--then later love nutes)but the problem I had with them was overfert--nitrogen in my case which made them a beautiful color very unlike the ones in your photo. Hope you get to the bottom of it. good luck

hmmm, after looking at them again they actually do seem to be a beautiful color but mine did not have the burn spots....perhaps you have more than one problem?
PS my blueberries had trouble with ppms of 400 at first (Cal Mag 50% and Pro Grow 50%)...improved greatly on 300 ppms but they were perhaps not as large as your plants.

it looks like its could be alittle bit of both, maybe becuase of the mg def they burned alittle more, showing up on the top leaves. It looks like you might have the ph wrong also, i know it the waterfarm its hard to balance it for each unit. With the worng ph u will lock out nute and at the same time if ur at the max closeness with the light, u could potentially burn them if there not getting all they need. your leaves are also very dark in color tward the tips indicating another deficiency.

Be careful keeping the 1K under 12 inches when bud development starts. I noticed it on my last grow and was suspect and am finding it on this grow and researched the problem, hear is what happened in my case with this particular strain. I have the loveliest temps, low 70's, no cool tube or air cooled hood, and went and had my tops about 7 to 8 inches from the bulb and the high lumen output started to bleach the clorafil in the buds turning the top of my koalas white. I found other folks that have had that same problem when putting the 1K too close, but not with all strains, so keep that in mind when you start getting buds and yes the BB are a all around sensitive strain.

I would back the light off increase ventilation and change out your rez. Use the 3-2-1 GH plus some calmag at 5.8 PH. Iv aso learned even plants of the same strain can vary quite a bit as to the tolerances they have to light nutes ect.

thanx

My plants had the same necrosis(burns/dead tissue) and some intervienal chlorosis as well. Cal Mag did the trick. I think Stinkyattic nailed this one.
