We call it a shotgun. Me and my girl do it to conserve weed, or get even higher with less weed. Except we dont gently breathe out, its more of a forced thing..

Many years ago when I was in high school we called it a shotgun, too. I always thought the person receiving the second hit didn't get as potent a hit cuz it's filtered through the 1st person's lungs!

I've always called it a shotgun, but I also thought it was strange to call both this a shotgun as well as when you do that thing with a blunt. I think there should be 2 names

it isnt a shotgun.
The shotgun originated in Vietnam, with one toker blowing smoke through the barrel of his M1200(12 gauge), and another toker recieving smoke out the end of the barrel.
When one takes a joint, put hot end of joint in mouth, real carefully, and then blows on joint to make smoke come out the unlit end.
When one just blows smoke they have already inhaled, the smoke is virtually void of any thc, since the person who took the hit lungs have absorbed thc.

virtually none, doesnt mean, none. What it does mean is that once a person inhales pot, and then blows smoke thats been inhaled into the lungs of another, dont expect much....., except, bad breath, last nights chicken, etc etc.
THC is a molecule that once inhaled is rather quickly absorbed into the bloodstream.
But hey, if your into what you are doing, and its working for you, have at it.

a blow back is when you put the joint upside down in your moth then put it into another persons mouth or tunnel shaped hands leading to there mouth you blow they inhale and it fucks you up .. americans call it shotguns ..

See, that makes more sense.. That sounds like a blowback, because you are blowing the smoke back through the blunt/joint.
