Grow log v. 3.0

Hi.. Long time no see, but I decided for another grow log, since I've never had more than 4 plants at a time, and now I'm going for 18 plants, and might be needing advice.. (No, advice is always welcome, also critique)



I have 18 seeds:


4 x White Widow

5 x White Rhino

9 x Shaman


Pic one is of the seeds in their pack, pic two is of them in the paper towel, and pic three is just before I placed them under the radiator, so the don't get to cold...



The grow room is almost finished, and I'll post some pics of it when it is..

I only have one 400 w HPS, but I have some CFL's for the outskirts, and I'll be rotating plant posistions (sp) so they don't get really different in size.. Well, not TO different..:)


I don't have any fancy equiptment, but I have a fan.. Temps, I'll have to let the lights be on at night, and off in the day, as to make the night/day temps not vary to much.

Fertilizer, I don't have, but I'm going to get some.. I think I'll check out Harddons thing.. But I want a veg nute as well..


I'll be performing 3 light cycles.. 24/0 the first 5 or so days, then 18/6 until day 21 .. Depends on how the growth is going...




Here are the germination pics.. I'll get more up when I plant them.. I'm going to get soil tomorrow .. And a good veg fertilizer..

looks good, just remmeber dont give them ferts for a good week - 2 weeks during the veg stage. good luck keep us updated, im doing a similar grow (10 feminized green spirt dutch passions, 1000 hps, 2 48watt cfls for first 5 days) good luck

Some good strains to grow. Nothing terribly hard and not to care intensive. Plant them in a good soil mix, if the mix is to thick and doesn't drain well then add sand to the mix. Do not use nutes during the first month. Keep us updated.

No sand in this mix.. I've had sand, and these strains do better without..:9

The seeds have started cracking now..:)

Almost all the shaman seeds show a little tail.. The only seeds that haven't cracked yet, are all the Whtie Widow's and one or two White Rhino..:)



I'll be planting tomorrow or the day after.. I'm going to get soil and grow buckets tomorrow...:)

Good and bad news..


Good, I had 100% germination rate, and I planted them today..:D


Bad news, I can't afford anymore soil, so I could only plant 10 seeds..:(



So now my grow is:


4x White Widow

4x White Rhino

2x Shaman


But, that's ok.. I only have one 400 W HPS.. So, it might be the same..

Out of those strains, I have only done WW. I hope you have a good vent. system, because WW are skunkier than a skunks ass, seriously. :p They stink man, so I hope you don't have to hide the smell too much from any unwanted, smellers, I guess.

There isn't really a broad selection of soil where I'm at, so I just got as high PH as possible.. 5.8.. :o




I know the WW smell really strong, I've had a few of them.. One of my favorite strains..


I had AK 48, they both turned out male.. But believe me.. I've never had a plant in vegative stage that smelled so strong as the AK.. :p

if you are looking for a soil with a really high pH, try topsoil. its extremely basic so it is handy for mixing into ur normal soil mix to up the pH

5.8 is a good Ph to have it at, but you should try to get some perlite or vermiculite in a basic soil mix. Good soil makes a huge difference in quality. Nothing fancy. I used to buy Wal-Mart brand soil, a huge 15L bag for like, $3.99, and a bag if vermiculite to lighten the soil for another $3.

But hey, if that's all that's around, what can you do. If they sprouted though, you know you got useable soil in the pots.

Hey man, looks like you started those seeds off in the same big ass pots I started those rhinos that died off in. The ones that did live grew slow at first I think mainly because they spent a lot of time sending out roots to fill up those gigantic pots. But thats not necessarily a bad thing, big roots rule. I hate the seedling stage though, so much shit can go catastrophically wrong way quicker than once they're big enough to take care of themselves. Lol, I guess its just more like my friend can kill any seedling on earth. Anyway, keep up with the pics.

Haha, i know, the pots weren't why mine died off. My friend is a douche is why mine died off. They'll be fine, but I said they might take off a little slow above ground because they're putting in so much work underground. But after that they'll explode. When I dumped out the dead ones, they had suprisingly big roots for such tiny seedlings. :thumbsup:
