Splifted's Guide to Making Hash Oil

This is the best way to make a small portion of hash oil using nothing more than schwag, you don't even need good weed to make great oil. The better the weed, the more oil you get though. All you need is a little less than a blunt's worth :D


One day I long ago when I still lived with the parents, I wanted to get high but I didn't want to go anywhere to smoke, and I had been reading up on hash oil so I decided to give it a shot.

I decided to go with the honey oil technique where you use butane as the solvent. Butane > alcohol cause all of it evaporates off at room temperature very quickly. To only extract THC and no chlorophyll or other plant matter using alcohol you have to keep the alcohol cold which slows down the extraction process immensely. You can heat the alcohol and make it go faster, but sacrifice quality. Since butane is very cold when its liquid, it works perfectly without extracting the extra junk. I'm not sure why this works, but I read a very long article about the cold extraction technique I'll see if I can find it later.

Anyways, the plans for shit on the internet called for 1.5 ounces of weed and some pvc pipe to make an extractor, neither of which I had at the time, and I still didn't feel like leaving. Then I looked at the ink pen I was twirling in my fingers and a light bulb went off. I ended up making a miniaturized version of the extractor using a pen and a pipe screen. It only holds like a small blunt's worth of weed but it makes more than enough hash oil to get you high a few times over. Perfect for not wasting tons of weed to make it :dance:


Materials:
1.) Clear plastic pen with a metal screw on tip and solid end cap. (http://www.officemax.com/max/solutions/product/prodBlock.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&prodBlockOID=537036034&expansionOID=-536907928)
2.) Metal pipe screen or coffee filter.
3.) Can of butane for refilling lighters. Make sure you get a decent brand so it doesn't have a lot of impurities in it.
4.) About 6" square piece of foil.
5.) Nail or something small and sharp
6.) Small towell or work gloves;



**DO THIS IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA AND DO NOT SMOKE BUTANE IS VERY FLAMMABLE**

Procedure:
1.) Take the ink cartridge out of the pen. Cut a small pipe screen into quarters and put one of the quarters inside the metal screw tip. Use the ink cartridge to push it in. Make sure it covers the hole.

2.) Heat up the nail and burn a small hole in the end cap of the pen (opposite from the writing end). While the hole is still hot, stick the tip of the butane refill can into the hole to form the hole to the size of the refill tip. You want it to seal pretty good, so don't make it too big.

3.)Pull the end cap out of the pen and put the metal tip back on. Grind up the weed as pretty fine, but not powdery, and stuff it into the pen from where you removed the plastic cap. Use the ink cartridge to pack it down. You should pack it tighter than you would think. Make sure you pack every half inch or so, don't wait untill you got it all in or you won't be able to pack it uniformly. It is important to fill it as full as you possibly can. Any gap will give the weed room to blow around inside the pen once you start extracting it. Make sure you pack it where the weed will be touching the end cap once you put it back on.

4.)Take your piece of foil and use a coke can or something as a mold and make a foil bowl or cylinder. This is what you will collect the butane in, so make sure it won't leak. Hold the pen with a towel or some work gloves to keep from getting the cold butane on your hand. Hold the metal tip of the pen over the foil bowl and insert the refill tip into the end. Press it and hold it, like you were refilling the pen like its a lighter. Ideally, if you packed the weed tight enough, it should take a couple seconds for the first few drips of yellow ass butane to come out the tip. If the butane just blows right through, you didn't pack it tight enough and it won't extract it properly. It has to be submerged in butane, not butane just passing past it. Keep running butane through untill it is coming out the pen clear.

To speed up the evaporating process, you can simply set the foil bowl in a bigger bowl full of room temperature water. Room temperature water is more than hot enough to make the butane boil off pretty vigorously. Once the butane is all gone, you should have some sticky yellow goo and probably some condensation on the foil. The best way to smoke it is to rub another bud in the yellow sticky stuff and smoke it in a pipe. You can smoke it straight off the foil, but that makes me feel like a crack head, although you do get a straight one-hitter quitter high from the hit you get.

The very very best way to smoke it is using one of those glass pipes that tweakers use for smoking dope. The metal tip of the pen fits right in that little hole on the side of that ball at the end of the pipe, and you squirt the butane right into the pipe. Then you let it evaporate off as always, and use a lighter to heat it up til all the hash oil pools up in the bottom of the bulb. Then you just light it and vaporize the hash oil and hit it. You can get several uses off one extraction :thumbsup:

I'll post pics of how to do this step by step once I get a camera. This shit my friends honestly couldn't believe came from shitty schwag. Definitely a neat trick for turning some shitty weed into a few hits of fire.:thumbsup:

Its not solid hash, so its hard to give a size comparison. Its more like a sticky yellow goo that is sticky like liquid pipe resin but that smells like honey. If you extract two pens worth into one of those glass pipes like I was talking about, you get a fat dime sized puddle in the bottom of dark yellow goodness. Even though you'll like like a crackhead smoking hash out of a tweak pipe, it is the perfect way to do it. It vaporizes it as opposed to burning it, so you get a better hit.

Well, as far as practical usage, usually 3-4 people can get high from one round. Its amazing how you can actually feel it in your face by the time you breathe out if you ghost a hit (hold it til you don't even blow out that vapor) even thought it was just some shitty brick. Like you know how you can only get so high from smoking brick weed? Well, it doesn't feel like brick weed at all. You honestly have to try it to believe it, my friends all called bullshit and thought I was crazy til I made them hit it. It kinda is a creeper, like you can feel it in your face by the time you're done coughing, but you keep getting progressively higher for a good 5-10 minutes. At least thats how it works for me, and I'm not exactly a lightweight. Let me know how it goes man :rasta:

nah i know it's not solid hash.... was just wondering about how much to expect, which that sounds good enough to me... however i'll probably just use the oil when i'm rolling a j, or top a bowl off with it, if nothing else i'll just knife it. now i just gotta wait til i get my 1/4 so i can try it...

question, does it have to be a pen with a metal tip? or could it be a plastic tip as long as it screws off? i'd rather not have to go out and buy a pen just to do this with...

Never tried a plastic cap, just as long as it doesn't pop off it should be alright. Doesn't hurt to try, I just know which one worked so I used it from then on out. Let me know how the plastic one works out.

If you're gonna use it on a j, you could either wipe the paper in it or roll the bud you are gonna roll in it first. Its pretty sticky, but the bud should soak it up and look nice and wet once you're done.

i'll let you know how the plastic tip works, i mean i can't really see why it wouldn't work... and yeah i plan on smearing it all over the paper... i want to touch the shit as little as possible and i know if i put it on the bud i'm going to get about half of it all over my fingers... well thanks for the method dude i've been wanting to try butane-oil exctraction for a couple of years now, just never have enough bud to do the only method i knew til now, which was with a pvc pipe and atleast a 1/2 oz of bud.... this one's more up my alley..

edit: enough bud to WASTE.... lol i needed to clarify that... i almost always have enough to do that method, i just dont' want to use my entire stash on making oil..

and it works like a fuckin charm! I lost alot of gas til i understand the doses. Yellow falls during the first few secs, with a big fat pen that i stuffed alot of weed many times... Let it sit for half an hour then scraped the sticky yummy yellow honey and just spread it in the paper of my joints... im fuckied up right now and everybody should try this, its the best and the easiest way to make something super-potent out of old trimmings and bud remains (not that i am in lack of bud.. i have plenty)... Just load your pen, extract, let alcohol evaporate for few mins, and smoke :D:D:D:D:D

You see how different the weed looks after its been ran through the extractor? Its all really dry and brittle and usually lighter in color. Lol, try smoking it, it tastes like you'd expect shitty low potency weed to taste like, cause all the good shit is gone. I used to give it to my roommate and he'd still get high cause he's a lightweight, but other than that I just trash the weed afterwards.

We just ran 2 pen fulls off one can, and there is still a lot left. Most of the thc comes out in the first few seconds it looks like. I just made a sweet vaporizer out of a light bulb and extracted the oil right into the bulb. It works so badass. Just use a pen as a mouthpiece, but make sure you don't touch the inside of the bulb with the pen. I am so high right now. omg. and i have class in like 4 minutes s hit:stoned:

If I ever get a can of butane, I'm trying this. I'm guessing that this wouldn't work with isopropyl alcohol.

There's a video on youtube of a guy making oil with isopropyl alcohol, but it takes a lot longer.

Basically, he dumps the weed into a jar of isopropyl alcohol and lets it sit for a long time so the THCA and stuff dissolves into the alcohol. Then he runs it through a coffee filter to strain out the green matter, pours whats left onto a dish, and lights it to force the isopropyl alcohol out. I'd go with butane, it seems safer and cleaner, and I'm not entirely sure as to how burning the isopropyl alcohol would affect the THC and stuff. You should be able to get butane pretty easily, ask around at drug stores and grocery stores. Say you need it to refill your lighter, or even your dad's lighter if you're a kid.

Drug stores here won't even sell cough medicine or matches to minors, much less pure butane. I'd probably let the isopropyl alcohol evaporate on its own, perhaps leave the jar unsealed in a pot of boiling water. I doubt that lighters would provide enough butane (if I can get the butane out), either.

its possible to get about 99% of the butane out of the oil. however when you toke it avisable for the first hit to just pass the flame over the oil and then toke.

that way your pretty much garunted that you will have got rid of it all

I'm getting a 1/4 tomorrow and am considering trying this method on a gram or two. Will I get higher off of this gram ( or smoke off of it longer) if I extract it compared to a gram smoked out of a bowl. Also does burning honey oil smell like weed, or could I dip the end of a cigarette in it and smoke it in a public place without raising too much suspicion? Thanks alot.

I used to use this method. It works but you will find that there is a lot of butane residual.Use the 12oz camping stove butane, it's way cheaper.

The alcohol(everclear works great)method is better you can evaporate all of it and the taste of the bud will come through.

Water Extraction is still the best IMHO

hey can you post pics or a video of this method? i tried this last night, and i did it wrong.
i packed the pen as tight as i thought i could (the weed was ground up in a cheap gas station kief grinder) but the weed is mids and is kinda mossy (sticks in clumps) but i broke that up some. i packed it in, packed it down, and filled it almost altheway to the metal tip that had the small screen in it. made the hole for the butane earlier, so i went outside to do it.
i had cut the bottom off a coke can so i could extract into it (was at a friends house with no bowls, no nothing to make a good bowl for it to go in). i popped the butane into the end, aimed the pen at the can, and sprayed the butane, but the butane shot out hard. a little yellow came out but ALOT of butane did too.
i had packed it as tight as i thought i could, but im guessing it was cause the weed wasent as packed due to it not bieng super chopped up or summin.
i tried to scrape the yellow after the butane evaporated, and got a tiny lil bit of goo, and scraped it onto a paper. the majority of the "oil" was stuck on the can's bottom, and if you have ever cut the bottom off the can, it has that ring indent to it and about 90% of the yellow (which was not much at all, but coated a fine layer on the whole can) was stuck in it and wouldent come out.
pissed i fucked up, i broke the pen open to get the weed out, and the weed looked the same, just very dry and clumped up. after giving it a while i smoked some out of my 1hitter, and it works, but it dosent do much.
so basically, i tried, failed, and have way shitty weed now.

can you post pics of the whole process or a video or something so that i can see if i did something wrong? i really want to try hash oil (oh yeah, the stuff i got on the paper, DID NOT get me high, or even a buzz.). please help!

I made one from a mini-flashlight, a metal pen tip and some hot glue. Part of the flashlight twists off so that you can just insert a piece of coffee filter and when you twist the cap back on the filter is made taut. The other end was partially punched out and the metal pen piece inserted to make the butane dispense. Hot glue was added around the cap to make it air tight at that end.
I just tried it with a joint paper and now everything smells like resin. Can't wait to use this paper to roll (not until tomorrow.)

I believe your problem was probably the "mossy" texture of your weed. Before you make hash oil, your herb should be completely dried. I once used slightly damp bud trim (used alot, I use the pvc pipe method) one time and it failed hard.

To the previous poster... I've made honey oil with both isopropyl and butane, and believe me...go with butane. I doubt that if you make it with isopropyl and then light it on fire that there will be any THC left, though I could be wrong. What I did was slowly double boiled my alcohol solution until I was left with nothing but golden oil. IMnotsohumbleO the alcohol method is dangerous, as the fumes + heating element could cause an explosion, not to mention the fact that the fumes are horrible for your lungs (especially if you're asthmatic like myself).

Rant done, make sure you have completely dried product.

This method worked for me. It only took me 10-20 minutes and the supplies were easy to gather. The weed i started with was leafs from some good mids and i packed the weed in until i could not press it down any further with a reasonable amount of force. I will be wearing gloves though next time because i am a noob at this and got the cold all over me, it was not fun. Anyways i got a shallow coating of extremely sticky yellow goo. I threw in some finely ground bud and rolled it around until it was a shiney little shake ball. I took 1 hit and it tasted really bad like straight up butane. Then i took one more and it tasted pretty good and a few minutes later i got really stoned(usually takes me 4-7 bong rips to get this high). Good shit thanks for this strategy guide brother. My only advice is to let this oil drain into a dish that has a small diameter and is deep so mabey you will have better luck scraping it up than me =).

Wow I was just reading this 2 hours ago and decided why not. I only used like half of a pen but the bud was jack herer headies. I fit about .6-.7 in there and used a spare can of butane I had lying around, and cheesecloth for the filter. My only complaint it that it was way too hard to scrape the hash out. I extracted into a shot glass, and i was able to get a nice dime size drop of golden oil. You can taste the butane but im high as shit right now. I couldnt get all the resin out of the shot glass though.


Does anyone have any suggestions for a more efficent collection system?

From Personal Experience I Find it The Other Way Around.
From Pure Butane with No Additives or impurities I Find All of The Butanes Evaporates off very well and leaves a very clean pure and potent product.It's Also easier than using alcohol as your solvent.
I Find When Honey Oil is Butane Extracted it's Exactly that,Amber Coloured Honey like Cannabis Extract.If Done Well and properly The Oil should taste like Kif/Crystals when smoked and feel the same in your lungs.
Now the Oil I Have Seen made with alcohol on the other hand....
First of all it's harder to use as a solvent in the extraction process because you have to keep it very cold.It Also Takes alot Longer To Evaporate then Butane and I Find Most Alcohol extracted concentrates still have traces of unevaporated alcohol.The texture is Much different.It's usually Very sticky and thick...not really a liquid,something you can ball with your hands.For example:If you had a jar of BHO you could dip the pin in the liquid pull it out and spread it on a paper.Mayber you might need to add a little heat such as flame.But if you had a Jar of Alcohol extracted oil you would have to heat the Pin to stick it into the sticky tar like subtance,and heat it a gain to spread on a paper,once on the paper it cools and becomes tar like again,unlike The BHO wich would stay liquid.As For The Taste,You can taste the alcohol in the oil,like it caramelizes as you burn it and your inhaling burnt sugars....I Definitely Prefer Butane Extracted Oil To Alcohol Extracted oil But hey thats just me:jointsmile:

I Use Untainted Butane with zero impurities,No smell or any other additives.And I don't know how much of a cheapskate you are buddy,but I pay like $3.99 for a Can of butane where I get it,
and I Can Run one can through an ounce of buds for a really good wash.

I wouldn't say heating alcohol is dangerous, I do it with my green dragon, over an open flame.


Even crossing the street is treacherous for retards y'know?


Just keep the alcohol at or below 170 degrees. At that temp it's boiling and should halve in volume every 20 minutes depending on surface area.

I did this EXACTLY like you said... everything was done exactly like you said and nothing happened. Butane shot through clear the entire time...I packed it harder just to make sure, tried again NOTHING... So....got a new pen tried it again did it exactly like you said AGAIN and guess what..nothing. So i pretty much wasted like 1.5g of good bud for nothing, thanks.

I have skin cancer and already had MOHS surgery along with cosmetic surgery to remove a spot above my left eye on the eye brow.
Also had an area on my upper chest above my right breast.
Both surgeries were with pain and long, involved recovery.

The chest was rude.
The internal AND external sutures tore open and thus had a 3 by 5 inch and -2 inch deep open gaff.
Try doing a flush and irrigate of the surgery and packing gauze into a gapping hole seeing all the layers of tissue and muscle all the way to the cartilage and ribs!
And first thing in the morning before that first cup of coffee!
(I had a strong first cup prior to going into the ER.)

I've since had more spots show now and the idea of removal and skin drafts isn't fun.
I'd read up on the doc in Canada who grows cannabis and made the oil to give to cancer patients and others in need.
With amazing and documented results!
Cancer gone in a matter of weeks!!!

I'm here in New Mexico and no way known to get the THC oil from anyone.
Sooooo....I used the build-up in my small water pipe with crappy tar and all to apply to a few places on my face...nose in particular.
Two weeks later....gone!
But alas I didn't have much cannabis and ran out too soon and the cancer came back on location.
I know full well using the tar laden dirty crap from a pipe is not healthy and wise but what did I really have to risk?
Not much.

Getting high grade or even decent cannabis here sucks.
Spotty at best and I'm too old for the 20 somethings to hang with to know others to buy from yadda yadda.

I took a used up clear plastic Pentel RSVP (cheap) pen which turned out to be the perfect set-up.
A small wooden dowel for a plunger/packer an a 1/4'' cut-off of a pipe screen.
Easily remove the ink tube and writing tip as the end cap unscrews.

First, I made the small hole for the butane nipple in the end cap with a large paper clip and the fit is better than a $100 lighter.

I took a quarter cut of pipe screen and pressed it over the flat end of the dowel and pushed the screen down to the rubber finger pad area of the now empty pen.
There, there is a choke that required me to use a straight piece of a wire coat hanger to shove the screen a bit further down towards the tip of the pen.
Done.
I then took what was about 2, maybe 3 grams of $50.00/ounce cannabis and packed firmly as I loaded it all in at around an inch or so each time until packed as packed can be up to within an inch of the end cap where it screws onto the end.
I had my reservations about the spray and what would splatter where and all but not to worry.
I took a 1/3 cup stainless steel measuring cup with handle to use as a bowl/dish to catch the sprayed and dripping results of the THC ''honey'' and subfreezing liquid butane.
No over spray and not even a dab went anywhere near the top of the small 1/3 cup measuring cup.
A hand towel held the pen and Ronson butane bottle as I pressed and shot the butane into the packed pen.

Sure enuff.....the butane rushed thru the tightly packed cannabis with ease and out dripped a golden honey color mixed with the butane.
After several seconds the sprayed drops were clear and that meant done.

I dipped the bottom of the measuring cup slightly into a bowl of tap water and the boil was fierce as the butane was evaporated away easily.
The entire bottom of the cup was coated in the THC ''honey''....!!!!!

At first was sticky and difficult to work with but left to sit a spell and it sets up nicely to what tack you may want.
A simple flick of a Bic on the bottom of the stainless steel cup and the honey thins out nicely as desired.
I ran the tip of a finger in it and applied the honey to my cancer spots and it was just perfect in how it was absorbed.

Why....I even smelled quite nice too!
A sweet mj flowery kind of smell that's far nicer than the tarred and crappy dirty stuff from the pipe.

After I was done and rather pleased with myself...:cool:....I took a small pinch of bud and rolled it in the ''honey'' off to the side of the clean and saved ''honey.
Got a high grade buzz from $50/OZ swag when I took some of the tacky bud with honey and put atop a pinch of dry bud in the bowl.

Now I got kief to kick up the smoke with AND now some nearly pure THC honey to smoke and use on my skin cancer.

I think this application will cost me maybe $10.00/week for atleast a WEEK'S worth of THC concentrate.
Plus I get to boost the high of low grade cannabis without the sky high cost of the luscious high grades.
Hopefully using this low grade then concentrate THC will give me the same remarkable results as the high grade tar pipe and bowl crap did.
Should...but can only know when the proof is on my face.

OH....I used a piece of coat hanger to easily turn 'n poke and dump out the used up cannabis from the barrel of the pen and all cleaned up easy and completely.
Much of it came out in pressed plugs, the rest followed and it all was as dry as a bone unlike still fresh soft as it was when it went in.

If you only knew just how thankful and grateful I am to have read this idea.

I can now apply the THC concentrate on my cancer and even get a sweet and strong buzz as I do.

The best part is I can now have enuff cheap cannabis to keep me in the THC honey and be consistent in applying it for the four to six weeks needed to remove the cancer spots.

Now I can focus on starting my first grow sometime sooner than not and indeed am going to buy some sativa seeds here while the $20.00 sale is going on.

I want some really really heady high sativa like what...purple cough or haze...or white widow or...??

This is the best way to make a small portion of hash oil using nothing more than schwag, you don't even need good weed to make great oil. The better the weed, the more oil you get though. All you need is a little less than a blunt's worth :D


One day I long ago when I still lived with the parents, I wanted to get high but I didn't want to go anywhere to smoke, and I had been reading up on hash oil so I decided to give it a shot.

I decided to go with the honey oil technique where you use butane as the solvent. Butane > alcohol cause all of it evaporates off at room temperature very quickly. To only extract THC and no chlorophyll or other plant matter using alcohol you have to keep the alcohol cold which slows down the extraction process immensely. You can heat the alcohol and make it go faster, but sacrifice quality. Since butane is very cold when its liquid, it works perfectly without extracting the extra junk. I'm not sure why this works, but I read a very long article about the cold extraction technique I'll see if I can find it later.

Anyways, the plans for shit on the internet called for 1.5 ounces of weed and some pvc pipe to make an extractor, neither of which I had at the time, and I still didn't feel like leaving. Then I looked at the ink pen I was twirling in my fingers and a light bulb went off. I ended up making a miniaturized version of the extractor using a pen and a pipe screen. It only holds like a small blunt's worth of weed but it makes more than enough hash oil to get you high a few times over. Perfect for not wasting tons of weed to make it :dance:


Materials:
1.) Clear plastic pen with a metal screw on tip and solid end cap. (http://www.officemax.com/max/solutions/product/prodBlock.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&prodBlockOID=537036034&expansionOID=-536907928)
2.) Metal pipe screen or coffee filter.
3.) Can of butane for refilling lighters. Make sure you get a decent brand so it doesn't have a lot of impurities in it.
4.) About 6" square piece of foil.
5.) Nail or something small and sharp
6.) Small towell or work gloves;



**DO THIS IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA AND DO NOT SMOKE BUTANE IS VERY FLAMMABLE**

Procedure:
1.) Take the ink cartridge out of the pen. Cut a small pipe screen into quarters and put one of the quarters inside the metal screw tip. Use the ink cartridge to push it in. Make sure it covers the hole.

2.) Heat up the nail and burn a small hole in the end cap of the pen (opposite from the writing end). While the hole is still hot, stick the tip of the butane refill can into the hole to form the hole to the size of the refill tip. You want it to seal pretty good, so don't make it too big.

3.)Pull the end cap out of the pen and put the metal tip back on. Grind up the weed as pretty fine, but not powdery, and stuff it into the pen from where you removed the plastic cap. Use the ink cartridge to pack it down. You should pack it tighter than you would think. Make sure you pack every half inch or so, don't wait untill you got it all in or you won't be able to pack it uniformly. It is important to fill it as full as you possibly can. Any gap will give the weed room to blow around inside the pen once you start extracting it. Make sure you pack it where the weed will be touching the end cap once you put it back on.

4.)Take your piece of foil and use a coke can or something as a mold and make a foil bowl or cylinder. This is what you will collect the butane in, so make sure it won't leak. Hold the pen with a towel or some work gloves to keep from getting the cold butane on your hand. Hold the metal tip of the pen over the foil bowl and insert the refill tip into the end. Press it and hold it, like you were refilling the pen like its a lighter. Ideally, if you packed the weed tight enough, it should take a couple seconds for the first few drips of yellow ass butane to come out the tip. If the butane just blows right through, you didn't pack it tight enough and it won't extract it properly. It has to be submerged in butane, not butane just passing past it. Keep running butane through untill it is coming out the pen clear.

To speed up the evaporating process, you can simply set the foil bowl in a bigger bowl full of room temperature water. Room temperature water is more than hot enough to make the butane boil off pretty vigorously. Once the butane is all gone, you should have some sticky yellow goo and probably some condensation on the foil. The best way to smoke it is to rub another bud in the yellow sticky stuff and smoke it in a pipe. You can smoke it straight off the foil, but that makes me feel like a crack head, although you do get a straight one-hitter quitter high from the hit you get.

The very very best way to smoke it is using one of those glass pipes that tweakers use for smoking dope. The metal tip of the pen fits right in that little hole on the side of that ball at the end of the pipe, and you squirt the butane right into the pipe. Then you let it evaporate off as always, and use a lighter to heat it up til all the hash oil pools up in the bottom of the bulb. Then you just light it and vaporize the hash oil and hit it. You can get several uses off one extraction :thumbsup:

I'll post pics of how to do this step by step once I get a camera. This shit my friends honestly couldn't believe came from shitty schwag. Definitely a neat trick for turning some shitty weed into a few hits of fire.:thumbsup:

Last Monday (Feb 16th) I got some $50.00/OZ swag in the late evening.

Tuesday afternoon I made the Pentel pen into a ''condenser'' (??) as Splifted suggested but with a cartridge pen.
The Ronson butane worked perfectly and out dripped 5 seconds of honey oil into a stainless steel 1/3 cup measuring cup.

Pure golden THC oil.

Tuesday late afternoon I applied a dab on my pinky finger to the several cancer spots ranging from nickel size to smaller sized and rubbed the sticky sweet smelling THC oil on.
ALL were cancer and progressing into seeping oozing sores as done in the past resulting in major surgery and cosmetic surgery back to back ORs.

After my research into the Canada doc who grew and gave away the oil I knew there would be a 4 to 8 week period in which the THC oil took to kill the cancer at/on site.

My thoughts were to go to the doctors at the VA Hospital and show the cancer sites then have a medical photo shoot done or do my own for any progress.
I put off going in for a myriad of reasons/cop-outs and figured I would have a couple a weeks to go in.

A few people close enough to me knew of and easily saw the cancer on my face.
The friend down the street who sold me the cannabis even asked of my skin spots and sites of cancer and made comments about how ugly they were and yadda yadda.
TWO days and one topical application later the two worst spots in nickel size on the side of my face near the left eye were smaller and changed shapes which the gay guy as fussy as a gay can be even saw the change and made comment.
Yesterday...Sunday....after another application of the THC honey/concentrate later I was grooming after a shower and saw nothing.

My neighbors, both professionals in the medical field, saw the before and after and even though they saw with their own eyes...were in disbelief and doubts all was what it appeared to be.

I told them there were documented cases aplenty and what about my own face that had the cancer spots/sites and yet now all gone?

They in all honesty were at odds with such a medical solution using cannabis for the THC in that the results were just waaaay too fast, etc.
Why this cure and the government not allow it for all cancer patients?
Why is this so unknown as a successful treatment?

I did my best to share again what was known to date and the issues that were at odds, etc.

My mistake was thinking it would take a good 4 weeks if any ''cure'' was to be seen.
The time frame of weeks is for the cancer sites that have progressed further than the ones I had and in the past were in stages that required MOHs and all.

My dear Medical MMJ folks...I can only be as bluntly honest as I can be and say that in less than a week and two applications of THC concentrate the skin cancer is off my face....gone!

I realize I used swag and an 1/8th here and there of ''high grade'' cannabis and was spotty on its use having such a difficult time even getting any.
Not exactly a medically approved ''study'' I know.\

But alas I only had what I could get and when and did as best I was able.

And now the cancer sites are GONE!!!

I will continue applying the THC honey for another two or so weeks and see what results.
Then let off and watch for any return and if at the same exact places.

I'm still in a shock over the short time it took and the results that came about.

I wish I could some how portray the facts in a way for all here to believe what has taken place...and yet it was on my own face and I cannot believe it.
Too good to be true and in days not weeks and no surgery and skin drafts and pain meds and the fuss of having more surgery.

I have skin cancer and already had MOHS surgery along with cosmetic surgery to remove a spot above my left eye on the eye brow.
Also had an area on my upper chest above my right breast.
Both surgeries were with pain and long, involved recovery.

The chest was rude.
The internal AND external sutures tore open and thus had a 3 by 5 inch and -2 inch deep open gaff.
Try doing a flush and irrigate of the surgery and packing gauze into a gapping hole seeing all the layers of tissue and muscle all the way to the cartilage and ribs!
And first thing in the morning before that first cup of coffee!
(I had a strong first cup prior to going into the ER.)

I've since had more spots show now and the idea of removal and skin drafts isn't fun.
I'd read up on the doc in Canada who grows cannabis and made the oil to give to cancer patients and others in need.
With amazing and documented results!
Cancer gone in a matter of weeks!!!

I'm here in New Mexico and no way known to get the THC oil from anyone.
Sooooo....I used the build-up in my small water pipe with crappy tar and all to apply to a few places on my face...nose in particular.
Two weeks later....gone!
But alas I didn't have much cannabis and ran out too soon and the cancer came back on location.
I know full well using the tar laden dirty crap from a pipe is not healthy and wise but what did I really have to risk?
Not much.

Getting high grade or even decent cannabis here sucks.

I took a used up clear plastic Pentel RSVP (cheap) pen which turned out to be the perfect set-up.
A small wooden dowel for a plunger/packer an a 1/4'' cut-off of a pipe screen.
Easily remove the ink tube and writing tip as the end cap unscrews.

First, I made the small hole for the butane nipple in the end cap with a large paper clip and the fit is better than a $100 lighter.

I took a quarter cut of pipe screen and pressed it over the flat end of the dowel and pushed the screen down to the rubber finger pad area of the now empty pen.
There, there is a choke that required me to use a straight piece of a wire coat hanger to shove the screen a bit further down towards the tip of the pen.
Done.
I then took what was about 2, maybe 3 grams of $50.00/ounce cannabis and packed firmly as I loaded it all in at around an inch or so each time until packed as packed can be up to within an inch of the end cap where it screws onto the end.
I had my reservations about the spray and what would splatter where and all but not to worry.
I took a 1/3 cup stainless steel measuring cup with handle to use as a bowl/dish to catch the sprayed and dripping results of the THC ''honey'' and subfreezing liquid butane.
No over spray and not even a dab went anywhere near the top of the small 1/3 cup measuring cup.
A hand towel held the pen and Ronson butane bottle as I pressed and shot the butane into the packed pen.

Sure enuff.....the butane rushed thru the tightly packed cannabis with ease and out dripped a golden honey color mixed with the butane.
After several seconds the sprayed drops were clear and that meant done.

I dipped the bottom of the measuring cup slightly into a bowl of tap water and the boil was fierce as the butane was evaporated away easily.
The entire bottom of the cup was coated in the THC ''honey''....!!!!!

At first was sticky and difficult to work with but left to sit a spell and it sets up nicely to what tack you may want.
A simple flick of a Bic on the bottom of the stainless steel cup and the honey thins out nicely as desired.
I ran the tip of a finger in it and applied the honey to my cancer spots and it was just perfect in how it was absorbed.

Why....I even smelled quite nice too!
A sweet mj flowery kind of smell that's far nicer than the tarred and crappy dirty stuff from the pipe.

After I was done and rather pleased with myself...:cool:....I took a small pinch of bud and rolled it in the ''honey'' off to the side of the clean and saved ''honey.

The site belongs to Rick Simpson who is the Canadian who has spent years, money and labor and even his own freedom and general wellfare after having discovered on his own the benifits of medical hemp.

The screen is to keep from blowing out alot of crappy plant material into the THC concentrate.
Use a 1/4 part of screen from a typical bowl screen.
Wad it up and push it to the tip.
I do not use foil laid out nor a dish.
Becauase the THC concentrate is as sticky as 3 day old honey on the kitchen counter.
The spray is not the problem but the butane pooled up is.
When you blow butane thru it removes the THC in about -5 seconds and the golden color goes clear when done.
There is a good +/-1/4" of liquid butane in a 1/2 cup measuring cup once done.
As the butane boils away (room temp is fine and hand held goes to major boiling) it leaves the THC honey and so herein is the challenge.
Allowing the THC to flow far out and spread makes for a near impossible chore in scrapping, getting, it up.
Until a drop or few of cannabis seed oil or even grape seed cooking oil is mixed in, the THC honey is very, very, tacky...as in days old honey sticky tacky.
So much so making it near impossible to apply decently on the skin.

Since my first application of THC from mex brick swag I have begun to use very potent medical high grade cannabis.
A most excellent sativa strain from a med cannabis grower.

And there has been independant photo shoots done this time around by a newspaper now so my cancer treatments and cure has and is being documented.
No VA Hospital as yet but I've only begun to stand up and out for medical cannabis.
I plan on taking a small 1/4" Oz amount of THC concentrate into the Cancer Research Center with media in tow and confront the head of the surgery dept.

I have always heard you should use high quality butane. Ronson has a lot of impurities that don't leave the oil. You want butane that is at least 3x refined.

I know this is old, but I figured it would be better to post here than to create a new topic.

I've tried this method personally, and no matter how tight I pack the pen, the butane still blows straight through it, just leaving a VERY small amount of sticky substance on the aluminum tray, which amounts to practically nothing.

As said in the first post, if the butane blows right through it, it won't work properly.... But no matter what I try, that's just what the butane does.

since ancient times alchohol has been made with grains etc....probably one of the oldest solvents / drugs used ....it has also been used from waaay back as a way to make tinctures....stands to reason that if you can use it to make essential oils (hash oil),it was likely done with weed by cavepeople !

organic method of oil extraction....

1.USE everclear...straight grain alch.....no additives...evaporates readily

2. soak weed in jar 48 hours ...use enough alch. to cover ground up weed.

3.separate fiber from 1st cut oil by filtering it thru a coffee filter lining a strainer

4. Repeat filtering as many times as you feel necessary...one more time works for me.

5.a safe and organic way to eliminate the alch is to put the liquid from
second filtering into a pyrex pie pan and set it out in the sun on a warm SUNNY summer day or two ...i put it on the dash of my truck .....crack the windows a few inches to vent....

scrape the goo-oil and toke....works well on a paper after you twist one up !

opthalmic solution bottles hold ten grams ...and make real nice containers... i had only one from a prescription so i don't know where to get them...maybe a new product for someone on the retail end (?)

Ive been making oil the ISO way for the last few days. I'm brand new at this. So far it has worked great.

I use a metal container with a air tight lid. I use 91% iso rubbing alcohol. I let it soak in the alcohol for at least 1 hour or more with the lid on and shake a little. Then I pour the liquid onto a pan and set a fan next to it to make the alcohol evaporate faster, it's usually dry in 30 mins depending on how much alcohol i use. then I scrape the pan with a razor blade.

I been using a toothpick to get some oil and then gently put a flame to the oil allowing it to spread easily. I spread the oil inside of a empty cigar then fill with green and roll. I used a spoon to vaporize tonight, 5 hits had me pretty high. hardly any smoke came out, mostly vapor.

A very good way to conserve and stretch your green.

My guess is the grower used epsom ....foliate fed....after the plant was flowering......

You can use any of the 12 simple alkanes! As many of you know, the alkane hydrocarbons are simply carbon atoms with hydrogens attached.

The older "Mary eats peanut butter" designation for the first four gases is followed by the greek alphabet.

Methane has one carbon atom and four hydrogen atoms attached to it's four potential bonds.

Ethane has two carbon atoms and six hydrogen atoms, attached to it's four potential bonds

Propane has three atoms, butane four, pentane five, hexane six, heptane seven, octane eight, and so on.......

The stumbling block is that in the USA anyway, they are required by law to add methyl mercaps to propane as a leak odor detector. The threshold sensory level for methyl mercaps is 2 parts per billionth, and they are extremely hard to remove, besides smelling and tasting like rotten eggs.

If you can get a clean source, it will without question work.

One advantage to using the longer molecule chains, is that they become less polar as they get longer, and pick up less water solubles.

The disadvantage is that the longer the chain, the harder it is to purge.

So we got extract method down,results about 97.3% THC, lab tested by friend Biologist. Trouble come when we try and powder the extract, any mild change in temperature throws back into mushy liquid of sorts. Ideas please.
