i noticed the little icon in the upper right corner of replies. add to reputation? what is this 'reputation' and how does it work? ive been on this forum for a while and never noticed it before...is it new?

I kid you not about 5 hours ago I was on here and I saw that scale and was like what. Than I clicked on it and it asked if i wanted to vote or something. Anyway I was gonna ask the same question, but got distracted.

I get what the point is. People approve posts they deem worthy and the more people that do the better your reputation gets on the site. Not sure how much I will use that though. I'm really high right now.
