Hey all, I thought I would post this random thought on my short theory of why we exist. It isn't specific using science and all, just through logic.

My theory begins with infinite. How is infinite achieved? I believe to have infinite we must have opposites. For instance deviding a number in half, it will devide forever. Or how about cutting a piece of paper in halfs? The part you cut devides it up into opposites, left and right. Another could be open and close, on and off, up and down, and so on. These all couldnt go on forever unless there was an opposite to each thing.

Now lets move onto understanding "nothing". Try to sit there and think of having nothing, I mean NO-THING. It's hard on your mind to sit there and think of nothing to exist, as in no elements or molecules, nothing! If you get that idea down now lets move on to the conclusion here.

Putting thoughs two idea together I've come up with this theory. Believing that infinite exists through opposites(which I do) with the theory above this is how I got my general idea on why we exist.
================================================== =====
"To have nothing is impossible, making everything possible."
================================================== =====

This is a short and general theory, but I would like to get other opinions on it. This theory was all made up in my head just sitting and thinking. Thanks to anyone who took the time to read this, any comments would be appreciated!

You'd appreciate the movie "What the bleep do we know?!?!" It's a conceptual movie theorizing the meaning of life through quantum physics and spirituality. Aspects of what you theorize is what is brought up in this movie.

I'll have to check out that movie, maybe youtube has it. darkside, tried salvia once, but my mind already thinks like this non-stop not to sound egotistic in anyway. My mind just wont stop thinking logically, my friends don't like it sometimes cause I'll analyze their convo's too easy, lol. I really do believe I have mania, or am skitzo lol. I have too many racing thoughts going through my head every second of the day, might be the reason why I havnt finished school or gotten my license yet...

I should of ended my theory in that we are just part of the main existing opposite(everything exists) that broke itself down infinitely.

Nice... I'll bring it up in my philosophy lesson tomorrow....the teacher is a clever man but it's not his opinion that's important, there's a child genius in my class who's only 13 (everyone else is 17 or over) and he's the one that basically teaches us and the teacher:p (even though philosophy is more endless discussion than teaching)

The 13 year old ever get picked on? Must be a wierd class to attend lol. Maybe philosophy is more endless for a reason? Infinite? Maybe teaching keeps us put in this reality and gives us an understanding of time that isnt actually there...bah i dont know. I'd appreciate it if you could post that 13yr olds thoughts on this, I really don't have much friends that enjoy carrying on subjects like these, thanks again.

I just watched 8 minutes of it on youtube. The idea shown of how thoughts can change the shape of water opens up a door for me. They go on saying if we are made up of 90% and our thoughts can change water like that, think of how thoughts effect us externally? I like that.

I think that time has a lot to do with it. For instance, we are constantly achieving infinite, because every second from now is infinitely longer than the last. You can NEVER take a second back. So in a sense, everything you do is infinite. It lasts forever. When somebody dies, it is infinite and everything they ever done, every second they ever lived is in the past, and does not continue. In death they are still infinite. Our present is the point of infinite, and anything beyond that is future, and everything behind it is past. We are our future selves, and at the same time our past selves.
Does that make any sense?

that is interesting way of using time to describe infinite, but I believe thats still pulling away from the idea of infinite, time itself is just a tool to try and explain "it", but it only confuses us. Infinite isnt now, not than, not later, it just is, never changes, only we change it. Like taking two mirrors side to side, you see yourself go on forever, only you change what you see, infinite only reflects what you make, which could be time...

it makes sense to me, but i still don't know why i wrote it, lol.

There's not many things my college punishes for, coming in late, missing lessons, being obviously high... but it expells anyone at any sign of bullying so he's fine;) . We're studying philosophy of religion at the moment and we're finding all these problems with loads of 'proofs' of God's existence. It's real intersesting a change to stuff I talk to my friends about. I'll get back with what he says tomorrow:thumbsup:

sounds good man.:thumbsup:
