Broken Bong = Steamroller [Archive] - Green Grass Forums

So i broke my bong camping this weekend and plan on making a steamroller. The only thing is there is this edge the the bong broke that needs to be sanded down. Anyone ever sanded glass? What kind of sandpaper did you use?

Any suggestions?

Just toss that shit. Or take it to a glass blower and ask them.

hell no i aint tossin this shit. I've drilled glass before and thats gonna be the hard part. I'll just have to use my belt sander wet maybe....

unfortunatley, i don't know any of these around here. I think they would sell you a new one before they wanteds to fix an old one.

I have a ton of friends who are glassblowers.....and they can fix a lot of broken shit.
Your case however....I think that thing is toast.
You could try though...

the thing is thick as all hell and there aer no little cracks started or anything so i will have to try. It'll kick ass if it works.

Dude that wil be a kickass Steamroller. I got one half the size but a fat bowl. I absolutley love the thing. Hopefully it works out.

Now we got a boat so we look for places that we can take the boat. I think we're going to the colorado river next.

Mallard 27 looks cool. I think that campsite was closed last weekend.

we stay at "lodge on the river"
ask em for a riverview suite

i love that river
i gotta go back soon
near topock gorge there is some
spot where the indians did pertoglyphs
i gotta explore that area

were gonna bring tents and stuff and just look for a spot to pitch camp as we travel up the river.. Should be super fun. I don't know when thats where we're headed next.

keep the glass cool while you work on it, if it overheats it cracks. use normal sandpaper for sanding it down but be careful, its VERY easy to fuck up and crack the glass. good luck!

I'd say get a dremill tool. I have one and it's great for turning things into bongs. I've got a bit and a grinder that are specifically for glass.
