hey guys,

just placed a big order:

big boy 1000 hps
fox farm big bloom and tiger
10 dutch passion green spirt feminized
2 40 watt flour (for the first week)

i live where my grow is, its an apartment and this grow is happening in a full room (i moved my bedroom to living room :P)

its getting winter now, so i have to use the heat, my question is...

do you think it would be a good idea to continue living here, using minimal heat, minimal computer use and minimal tv use or

i maybe have the chance to have my buddy, get an apartment iin my building, and i was thinking about turning off the heat, taking out all my electronics and sleeping at his crib, while this grow goes

just looking for some opinions and some tricks and tips you guys use for growing and living in the same place, using big boy 1000+ hps lights

thanks guys :rasta:

man you shouldn't be worrying so much about power.

seriously. your worried about the pop's coming and bustin down your door cuz you use too much power.

and yet you only have 1 1000 watt?

Seriously i know everyone on here smokes and is all paranoid, but if you asked a hydro shop owner (like my friend did) he would actually laugh at you.

look at tranobles grow. 8 1000 watt + all this crazy shit. No probs

a better measure would be how many kilowatts you use a month. I use about 600W.

if it will make you feel better then go and check out the average power usage. or ask around.

As well it is difficult to get a warrant based on just power consumption (maybe impossible)

As well I don’t think the cops realize people grow in apartments. And if so, they only really care about gang ops (at least in Canada) and big ops. They cant afford to shut down small ones. It doesn’t impress anyone and it doesn’t make a big difference.

BTW the biggest power users are the fridge (keep it on low) the microwave, oven and heat. A laptop only uses about 60Watts.

Pay your electric bill on time and they won't notice or care. 1000 watts is two computers, or 2/3 of one little space heater. That's just not a big enough deal to attract attention, especially in the winter, and especially if it's only running at night.
