why is it called cancer paper? what is it supposed to do? i dont understand why the tobacco companies would put something in their product that caused you to get cancer, it would make more business sense for your customers to be alive longer.

If you smoking blunts why would you even worry about locating and removing "cancer paper" you're not susposed to inhale the smoke from any of the paper...

How do you propose to seperate the smoke?

cancer paper is a piece of paper at the mouth piece of cigars that has a lot of nicotine in it i guess. that you take off before rolling a blunt so you don't smoke it

Yes it is real, if you've ever fixed a black & mild, its the thin white paper inside it. It doesn't cause cancer it prevents cancer in the mouth. I don't know which cigars contain it but I wouldn't worry too much about it, it probably doesn't make cigar paper any worse for you than it already is.

Ok, the "cancer paper" is a paper liner that assists the cigar from burning too fast. I smoke Black and Milds all the time and alot of time I'll shell um out for a blunt. When you burn ANYTHING you get a concentration of carcinogens in the smoke. This paper, aside from making it smoke a bit smoother and burn a little longer, is just an added "un-natural" and kinda un-needed thing that burns along with the tobacco and can assist in the carncer causing process. In theory its healthier to smoke a "freaked" Black and Mild (or any other cigar that has it for that matter) but then again, dare I say smoking a cigar full of tobacco is healthy on any accord. From what Ive been told the burning tobacco leaf is still better for you than the filter paper, so if you can... remove it. I smoke my blacks with it in there anymore, I dont have time to shell and repack them all the time. I should prolly just quit smoking cigars all together...

Its not there to prevent anything, it actualy adds to the problem from what Ive been told. Plus it makes taking hits alot harder and with weed it makes it harder to keep the damn thing lit.

I see... So how do you remove it? For swishers and optimos is it on the outside or the inside? I think its like clear white paper right?

The cancer paper is the darker brown piece of flap on the end of a blunt that you draw smoke from. It's too noticeable, you can't miss it :p. Just pill it off.

Cigar Paper? Cancer Paper?

What the hell, it makes no differnt, the cigar is rolled with a tobacco leaf, so it makes no differnce.

If you smoke blunts, your smoking tobacco too.

i still dont' understand, all it looks like is you took one of the outside leafs off a philie... which is what leaves me clueless... if that part that's taken off in the third pic is 'cancer paper' then the whole damn thing is 'cancer paper' cuz all those outside leaves are all made of the same crap...

You can see on the picture that has the leaf off.

Towards the end of the blunt is a different color paper (a 3rd paper) that is NOT tobacco.

After I rip the cancer paper off I lick the leaf and put it back on.

Fuck it...tobacco causes cancer..and marijuana defends against it...so we are even.

Smoke blunts all day...screw you're 'cancer paper' or whatever you wish to call it lol.

I've smoked hundreds and hundreds of blunts including a hell of a lot to the head...and never disposed of this 'cancer paper'and nothing wrong with my health whatsoever.

i always leave that cancer paper shit in my blunts. seems they get more resonated with em. they are harder to hit once they get down to the roach, but a good twirl in your fingers opens em back up. man ain't nothin better than a big sticky fucking blunt roach to throw in the bowl.

cancer paper tastes like shit...

just cut two inches off of the end you hit...

11-14-2006, 11:29 PM
ahhh... I see... so its just the outter wrapping...

No it's not the outer wrapping. It's not hard to miss. If you still don't get it just split a blunt and look at it from the OUTSIDE, not the gutted inside. Just look for the part that is darker than the rest, it's only about an inch long

Heres the pic shown posted on the last page with my circling to show the cancer paper. Hope you understand .

I've never heard of this before...but I would say...doesn't everyone rip their blunt before the 'cancer paper' anyway?

lol ok now i understand... but meh, i'm still gonna just cut the blunt open, doesn't matter if you take that paper out anyways, there's only like 1 billion other household items that can give you cancer... lol

edit: wait, is that what causes the blunt to taste like shit when it gets down to about an inch long roach? if so then i WILL start taking that shit out all the time..
