I'm a high school senior in the US and i'm bounded by athletic codes to not drink or smoke and all that bullshit...I already got busted once for being all wasted at a party the first day of this past summer and had to sit a 1 game football suspension (still ended up being voted the teams Defensive MVP). Now i'm gearin up for bball to which i also have to sit a 1 game suspension...I guess what i'm tryin to say is i could really give a fuck about the administration and their stupid ass rules...these are like the best times of my life (years 18-22) and they are just begining...i don't want to look back at my "good times" and be like man i wish i partied more or had more fun...I WANT TO FUCKIN LIVE IT UP, when the time is now ya know...I put it awesomely last night when i was stoned...I was like "i want to watch a movie in 30 years that represent when i was in high school/college and be like, yeah that was me, that's how awesome it was." Maybe i'm just rambling man but i just want to make the most of The good times. chea

ok so smoke weed and then when they drugtest the team you will most likely lose your position...

But you would have lived tho....

Well I don't know about your high school years being the best time in your life. God I'd certainly hope not. Carefree, yes, but the BEST times, I doubt it.

Live it up for the fact that you have little-to-no responsibilities to worry about, but if high school was the best time of your life, lol, what's the point of growing old if our life fizzles out at age 20 or so?? There's still 60+ years of LIVIN to do.

I know I'm already looking forward to retirement, and I haven't even stepped foot in the career world. Not to say I'm not looking forward to that, but the thought of waking up each day with a clean slate puts me at ease. Or maybe I'm just lazy.

And if high school sports are important to you, don't jeopardize that by wanting to party like some animal as much as possible. There's always time for parties man, but high school sports will come and go before you know it, as you're finding out as a senior. If you'd rather get high and drink, quit the team. It's not fair to your teammates if your heart isn't in it, ya know?

either way you go with it, you're going to wish you did the other... if you decided to take the 'clean' route, you'd end up wishing you lived your life more the way you wanted to, rather then what authority has set out for you, if you went the party route, there will probably always be that thought of what if, what could i have become if i focused entirely on my future... so yeah, pick one and live it to the fullest... but be aware that choices somtimes carry heavier consequences then they are worth..

Yeah dude, school drug testing is major bullshit.

You can probably get away with drinking though. The NIDA5 doesn't even fucking test for it, I shit you not. I know thats what my school uses as far as testing goes...so maybe you can party it up a little. Be careful though.

Well, for one.. if sports are that important to you, I don't think I would do anything to put that jeopardy. If you do something now to fuck things up for you, you may regret it for a long time.

That being said, high school really isn't the best days of your life. College is. And like Plant said, you got the rest of your life to live it up and party.. what makes you think all fun stops after high school, or college for that matter? :)

High School is not the best years of your life.
Personally, I think High School was the biggest bunch of bullshit ever.
Don't listen to those people that tell you that high school was the best years of their life. They are just not remembering all the bad and stupid bullshit that came long with it.
Seriously, everything is much better when high school was over.

Maybe I have always just been one of those nonconformist peoples who thought everything about high school was stupid.
I didn't hang out with high schoolers..didn't go to high schooler parties...didn't hang out on campus...shit I hardly even went to school.
..and if I did go to a high school function, I made sure to be as fucked up as possible.
...yep. High School BLOWS.

So hey, look at it this way, if you like high school and shit...thats cool, but maybe after high school will be even better.
Maybe not though, because if you were voted MVP you probably feel all cool and shit..and when you graduate high school you are just a little fish in the ocean and no one could care less about you. So you my friend may be disappointed,

these two posts really cheered me up :D all I deal with is people reminding me that this senior year is the best that it'll get, and when I look at my life and realise it isn't all that great, it gets me down.

party it up, then when they give you a cup to piss in, shit in it instead. test that bitches. if they judge you on your personal choices rather than your athletic and leadership abilities, thats their fault.

shit did anybody read my post!?!? i never said high school was the best time of our lives...i said the time is now and it's just beginning...senior year is just the start...did nobody see the part that said "years 18-22" or in other words, senior year of hs through the end of college....shit people you gotta read lol....but yeah our high school doesn't random drug test, but if a teacher or a parent turns your name into the school proving you've violated the code, you'll get suspended a few games...I guess the point i'm trying to make is that sports really aren't my whole life, they are just a part of it...not saying my heart aint in it, because i want to win a conference championship just as anyone else does...i spose i came off a little too crazy that i love to party crazy n shit, when really i always make sure i'm in a safe environment that's not going to get busted. Some of my friends parents are actually pretty cool and will let us party if it's just a few of us n whatnot...sorry for the confusion i guess...But i'm not going to let some stupid athletic code keep me from havin a good time on the weekends
