Opinions please..

Mylar or white paint for the walls in a growroom, any thoughts ? :confused: :thumbsup:

Mylar has a higher reflection rate. There is a right up on it in the FAQ. Only thing, it is a pain to hang. At Wall Mart you can get emergency blankets that are made out of mylar that are about 2 bucks a peace and about 7X5FT and they will do you.

Go for it, and if it is going to be hung from a smooth surface then get some 3M spray glue and just spray it on the wall and hang. Try to get the wrinkles out.

thanks for the feedback bluebear, we live in the uk & don't have a malmart here, was in a store today and it was priced at £3.90/ 7ish dollars a metre (about 1.5 metere wide), not really sure if thats expensive or not :confused:

u can buy 4X50 feet of mylar from any hyrdoshop for about 30 buks, they have 4X25 for like 18buks, 1mil thick, u can just tape the stuff up. best choice.

Well if your where its cold and you mylar you must have greauu t insulation, or the wall will get wet and moldie. It will not take long and your walls will sweat and the plaster will fall off the walls. Now with flat white with a mildew preventer in the paint you will solve 2 problems , the wall falling off and mold. I have used both and the best way is to make panels of pvc pipe and tape the mylar to it. Spraying the walls with 3m spray will work , but if you ever need to take it off you will need to put up new wall board , tape and joint compound and sand primer and paint walls ,,,,,,,,DO NOT USE 3m it will cost you a bunch in the long run.Flat white is well worth it because you paint every thing

Hi, i'm in the uk, start of our winter so its gettin quite cold, now ya see i wanna paint but he says no no reflective sheetin is better. should hold on jiggy till he says yeah i can paint lol
