This is my first grow, usin northern Lights, babies are 3 weeks old now, any ideas how much they yield on average, or does it all depend on how big u let them grow, intensity of light etc or am i just stating the obvious and having a blond moment lol :o

I grew two plants of NL (using LST) earlier this year, I vegged em for 10 weeks and flowered under 200w cfl. I got 3oz from one and 2.5oz from the other. Not bad for CFL - but they did take forever to finish, like 72 days :) instead of the usual 8 weeks.

As you alluded to already - the amount of time you veg and the lights will be the two most important factors, after that training will help with yield.

NL is a great plant for a first grow, really tough and a decent yield.

if you're growing indoors you will want to maximize the amount of light the plant recieves, which is best done using LST. Which is basically tying the end over to allow the small branches to get more light - instead of having one main grow tip, you have several, which will give you more buds.

I'm LSTing at the moment - have a look at this thread http://boards.cannabis.com/showthread.php?t=88633

Yeah read the FAQs but don't be afraid to ask :)

Hey thanks everyone for the replies. I've heard they pretty tough n takes some knocks, gonna need it with me caring for them lol. Just started givin them nutes, hopin they grow a bit quicker than they are now, it's biogrow, but how often do i feed them ? and put them under a small light until i get my growroom set up, just a 100w cfl at the mo, but it's better than nothing !! :)

start feeding them 1/4 of the dose, then gradually increase over three weeks, i.e. do 1/2 dose, then 3/4, then 1/1. if you do it gradually you have less chance of upsetting them. some people feed once a week with plain water in-between and some feed more dilute nutes every watering.

NL can take a lot of nutes but don't over do it. keep a close eye on fan leaves as they usually indicate first if you're over/under ferting.

the 100w cfl is fine for veg, just make sure the light is only an inch or two above the plants.
