I agree man.. Im 19 years old. I graduated high school 2 years ago, and moved 150 miles from home with my girlfried about a year ago. We got a 3 bedroom townhouse right on the beach. School life was much easier..

Dont get me wrong, I wouldnt trade anything for the world. I love her to death, we always have bud to smoke, we are on the beach 24/7, and I make almost $100k a year. But its just a pain in the ass having to deal with bills and grown-up stuff.. haha

So true, so very true.

Graduate high school, go to college, get all the education you can get because without it, working for those 30-50yrs are going to slow, and depressing. :p

Hey, I graduated high school, never went to college, and Im doing fine. Im a systems engineer for an IT firm, and I make pretty decent money.

I am working on my degree online currently, though.

EDIT: Of course I still talk to my old high school teachers, and they call me "the exception to the rule."

Im a systems engineer (i work in IT).. I didnt go to college, I worked on experiance, proving myself in the industry, and getting certifications.

When I signed on to this job I got a $5,000 signing bonus because they wanted me that bad.

Really? Come to cali. Im not just a "Tech", I am a systems engineer. I deal with computers the size of your fridge, for companys that make billions of dollars a year. We are a reseller, I am in charge of installing, configuring, and maintaing them.

And my base salary is around $64k, but I make commission on services i sell/perform.

ur a field tech...its the same thing, a company pays u to go out and fix machines of theirs that fuck up...i know what u do, u can slap a fancy name on it if u want, i highly doubt u make 100k a year with 1 or 2 years experience tops...id say maybe at the most 35k?

Haha, Im not a field tech. I dont usually repair (thats under warranty, so thats the vendors problem), I SELL and INSTALL and SERVICE.

And I dont care what you believe, im not here to argue online.

I'm just a poor boy with a small salary

I enjoy life, though. All is not bad in the world.

I often missed my classes in high school, and for that reason, I get low wages now. One day won't hurt, but I'd miss one day, and one day turned into like "A bunch" I didn't graduate, and I never went to college. I ended up working construction, then driving a truck, then to driving a cab, lol!

Go to school, or you could end up poor like me, lol!

Have fun, though. A day off baked makes for a good day, imo. ;)

Much Love,

Goddamn I feel old, but its true. No parents also means no parents to pay for anything, which means you won't be sitting home all day without them, you'll be working, which sucks way worse than chilling with your friends in school all day. Don't get me wrong though, I'd never go back, I get along with my parents way better now and there is a lot less drama in my life, which is always a plus. High school drama = teh suck.

It's obvious he is lying... You need a bachelor's degree and atleast 7 years experience to land that job, he said he never went to college which makes his story impossible.
