Question about lower wattage Metal Halide (PICS)

I was able to convince the matenance guy in my apartment complex to let me get a used metal halide ballast and a brand new 70 watt 150M bulb, I was able to rewire the ballast with a vacume cleaner cord i have no experiance with electricity and i was still able to do it, i know this is a very low wattage but my queation is, when coupled with my 4 foot daylight floros how much of a boost will this give my plants, will the 70 watts of metal halide give the plants a little better boost than just with the floros?

Also, if i were to try to flower 1 plant with the 70 watt metal halide, how good of a yeald would i get? Im planning on getting a 600 Watt HPS in the near future once work picks back up agin.

Sorry the pics are so small, Also i think its relevent to add that the 4 plants are being Low Stress Trained, they would be about a foot tall ot more if not tided down.

Your plants will love it man. Every bit of light helps, and 70 watts of HID light is more lumens than 70 watts of fluorescents. Only thing is it will raise the temps. Nice job on not burning something down re-wiring it though lol. Let us know how it works out.

nah i payed 5 dollars to the mexican matenance guy, my buddy was going to try to swipe it from a building or something, he made that post, i have since changed my pass so he can make his own name if he want to do stuff like that, it was an old ballast but it works and i happend to get a 70 watt Metal Halide from the shop at work, i had to clean the thing up tho, there wer about 5 dead lizards and a million bugs in it but it works good, the heat it puts off is minimul i have a fan rite on it and i cant even feel too much heat i placed my hand inbetween it and the top of the plants and it dident burn me after 15 minutes so i think its good. is anyone els having trouble with the forums? are they checking things on the site? the threds just wouldent load any new posts for me earlyer its fine now.
