i happen to like waterfarms by general hydroponics .
really easy to use and newbie friendly . you can grow a serious tree w/ one too .

The farms are probably one of the easiest and really productive as well. They combine both DWC/Bubble and top feed drip.
For DIY systems Bubbler systems are probably the easiest rout, and people who are experienced love them as well.

Sounds reasonable, but again did you nail down the number of plants you want, because the 16 liter res is going to be hard to have more than 3 or 4 short plants at most and you will have to constently check the PH and TDS of the res because it is so small.

I clicked on systems and then top feed drip and checked out the Nutriculture Flo Gro Range 12 sight system and it sounds fairly nice. It is 22 x 22 and holds 12 plants. Haven't checked out any more, but I am going to.
