well sid, for one thats called a gravity bong...a water fall is a bottle with a bowl on top, you cut a small hole in the bottom, fill up the bottle with water, light bowl/or tin foil in your case haha, let finger off hole let water strain out while lighting.

haha, but the way, on your "watefall", you should be getter biggier hits then you did. and your supposed to push the bottle down through the water, so the smoke forces its way into your lungs

Dude, it's a waterfall because according to Wikipedia, a waterfall is a type of gravity bong and since it involves water, therefore it is a waterfall. Maybe it's a regional thing on who calls what. So we're both right in this case as it is both. Most importantly, it works. Here is an excerpt from www.concept420.com which also proves my point. This is exactly what I made.

How to make a Waterfall Bong

This is essentially a variant on the gravity. You take a bottle (I use a
2-litre) and drill a small hole (about 3/8") in the bottom, at the lowest
point. Cover this hole with your finger and fill the bottle up. Then, attach a filled bowl to the top (I use the same Coke-bottle lid as the gravity) and light the dope. Uncover the hole out the bottom, and as the water drains out, the smoke will be drawn in. Keep the bowl lit and let the water drain out, and by the time you're done you have a 2-litre bottle full of concentrated smoke. Just suck from the top and uncover the hole at the bottom to hoot. This is also an extremely efficient design, as very little smoke can escape.

waterfalls involve water falling down a fall, ie like the water coming out of the bottom of a bottle, flowing into the sink.

gravity bong like you made, works on the basics of gravity....but whatever your obviously a ameture to smoking, but heres a tip, put that bottle with the bowl to the bottom of water, slowly pull up while lighting (make sure u have a good bowl or if your using tinfoil like i think you did, make sure theres a good flow of holes and dont pack to bowl tight), when you have a HUGE cloud of smoke, un screw the bowl, push down the bottle while inhaling..bam! by the way NEVER NEVER let the bottle/bowl come out of the water before the hit, as lots of smoke escapes. if you do it right, prepare to get baked

Well, I was smoking all day already, so it's not like I took one hit and was done, plus I smoked a whole lot more afterwards too. That's just all you saw because that's all I taped. 99% of the time, I'll just smoke a J or use my pipe or use my regular water bong. I just did this for something different. The video is kinda long I admit, so I am going to edit it to shave off a few minutes. I want to keep it under 10 minutes anyways. I was stoned when I edited it all, so have a heart LOL! :stoned:

Plus a gravity bong has the bottom completely cut out of the bottle and I only have line a 1/4" hole on the bottom, which you weren't able to see. Therefore, it is a waterfall and very little smoke escapes.
