View Full Version : NEED INFO ON FANS ? ? ? ? ?

i am look for a fan to draw air from the carbon filter i am building i need a 4 in intake but don't know if i should use a squirrel cage, high speed induck fan or a inline fan i it is for a room 2 feet by 2 feet by 4 feet high.. and i looking for cheap and clean fan links are great know any deals???

at home deopt the have cheap inline 4" fans.

its better to use a lower cfm fan for a carbon filter. the longer the air has contact with the carbon the more smell it pulls out. so like a 150cfm fan is perfect. it dont have to be a expensive one. those cheep duct boosters work well for it. unless you want to use it as exhaust to. then you will need a bigger one

your room is only 16 cubic feet. maybe you want to improvise a solution as any fan you can buy would be overkill (with like 165 CFM). you could buy some computer fans. one i looked at was 24$ and moved 70CFM. that would probaly solve your problems.

i have two small intake fans ...........i need a exhaust fan to run the carbon filter... will a pc fan work it?????? i wanted something that is not over 30 bucks or so bucks

i would just get a 4" inline duct booster fan at lowes or homedepot. they cost like $24 and do about 150cfm
