okay, i had a long ass talk with my mom about trusting my friends. i told her that ppl that use drugs arent bad. and she said "well...when they need it bad enough, they will steal stuff for it" i told her that i can see a weed smoker and a bad weed smoker. theres an easy visual difference is wut i said ;) but anyway. she told me she has NVR smoked weed in her life. she doesnt know that i do it yet, but im extremely nervous to tell her. because shes asian...and she doesnt like smoke. the thing tho that i told her is that i would NEVER smoke cigs, because their nasty...i will NEVER do cocain because thats stupid to me....but i said nothing about weed. so...technically im not lying. but i want to know what to tell her to convince her that weed isnt as bad as its made to sound. some1 please help me. i really dont like lying to her. (remember, she is kinda not a mom that im comfortable talking to about sex and drugs)

i said the saem thing to my mom, she beleived it too, till she walked in on a clamebake session in my room, almost saw a look in ehr eyes liek she wanted to join, but had to be a good mom, she used to smoek back in teh day n stuff, but i dont think she does anymore, considering how strict she is

But anyway, best thing to do, purposley, leave something small, a single paper laying around, and see how she reacts, personally, id let it be a secret till your long moved out and she cant do anything about it, parents can really ruin your highs man, i enver woulda gotten busted if my parents didnt catch me

Tell when you're older, after you've proved to yourself that it doesn't effect you negatively. Cause, if you tell her, and you start slacking in the least, she'll blame the weed, man.

i just feel really nervous when smoking and coming home. because i dont wanna reek of weed smell. this is wut i got so far for wut i wanna say if i get caught

Oi, i used to be up front with my folks about this kind of stuff for years. Unfortunately they never seemed to be able to break away from their "programming" that drugs are bad mmk?
So, as sad as it is, ive learned to simply avoid the whole topic. :( Maybe you will have better luck. My advice is to just use a patronizing tactic rather than a totally honest one with people who choose to be blind.

My parents know I smoke. They're main concerns are A) getting in trouble with the law B) Switching to harder stuff C) Driving High D) getting involved with the wrong kind of people E) Setting a bad example for my little brother. My dad said that if I could find a situation where all of these could be avoided then he had no problem with me smoking. So I only smoke nights and at friends homes. It's worked out fine because I don't feel any need to try harder stuff if I've got some weed handy, I don't have to drive or worry about the police, and my brother don't have to see me stoned (though if he did he'd probably not realize I was actually stoned.) So props to my parents for being smart and stressing the values of balance.

After consuming the tea your parents will undoubtedly be in the best moods of their lives. This is your best and only opportunity, you must take full advantage of it. Steal everything in your house, take ALL their shit and sell it. No unreasonable offer will be rejected, take any thing you can get for ALL of their shit. (it is probably crappy Asian shit anyways) Now spend ALL their money on the finest bud you can find. Smoke ALL evidence in one session, be careful not to mention any of this at breakfast the next morning, just play it cool.

If you follow my above instructions precisely you may be able to dispel some stoner stereotypes that your parents have adopted.

Great info, and the one about mj was right on, imo. They (Parents/ older adults) have been programed by years of misinformation, and propaganda. It's no wonder your dad got upset. The show presented mj in a greater light w/o the bs attached. It challenged what he's probably been taught/told, or shoved in his face all his life. Religion works the same way, man. I believe you meant thc, which isn't water soluble. But, if you've ever made cannabis tea, you'll find out that it does in fact have an effect. Not so much a high as it leaves me feeling relaxed and usually really sleepy before long. I wonder if other psychoactive substances (THC is only one of shitloads of other psychoactive compounds in bud) like CBD or CBN are water soluble. Who knows. But don't hate on weed tea til you try it. Just put a joint's worth of some schwag in a tea bag and put it in a tea cup full of water and microwave it for like 3-4 minutes til the water starts boiling. Pull it out and squish the tea-bag against the cup with a spoon for a few minutes til the water turns darker green/yellow and then sweeten with honey or sugar. It tastes best warm (and it tastes damn good warm at that)

Nah man, he didn't even watch it, he just heard "drugs". Thing is, my dad smoked his senior year of high school, but then got some "laced shit" from vietnam his buddy brought back and never did it again. I think he just had one of the panic attacks that people get 1 in a 1000 smokes. I think he was mostly pissed off because he was drunk, and I was watching it with my little brother, who seemed pretty interested. ;)

yeah thats kind of a dumb thing to say to her unless you actually keep your promises. I told my parents the exact same thing when i was 15 or 16 and since then, like 90% of the rest of the world, I broke all of them.

I actually was in a similar situation as you...

What I did was, I just kept my grades up, got a few scholarships, went to college, held a job, and never mentioned anything about weed. My mom knows because I've come home smelling like smoke a few times, but she hasn't ever pushed the subject.

I'll admit, this has led to us talking less. But that's what happens if your parents don't want to be understanding; you move away from them.

my parents know i smoke, just be prepared to answer some questions. Research the effects of pot, and read up on the subject so you can make a lot of good points to them. they are worried about me, and ultimately want whatever is best for me, so prove to them how much better it is than alcohol or anything else. but above all else, keep your grades up.

imo you just have to be honest with your parents (unless they are the rehab types). I told my parents that i smoke, turns out they were both stoners back in the hippy days. I made some no driving, no cops promises and now they are pretty cool about it, they even helped me pass a drug test for work.:rasta:
