Newport Buds

I was wondering if people have used secondary substances to give there bud a special taste. Ive herd of ppl using orange juice and vanilla extract during the flushing period before harvest to give there buds a special taste. Well i have some menthol crystals i was gonna use to make some menthol tastin buds. Newport pot?lol. Ive never done this before and maybe someone has used something similar.i might have to experiment ok well i know i posted twice but i figured i would get a better response in the hydroforum after i already posted the other one sorry all.

I just started growing so I dont know much. But you have my attention that would be a great experiment.

I will say this I listened to "The Grow Report" Ep 13 I believe and Zandor, mista, and jdog talk about additives. They talk about Sweet leaf which when used in excess makes a lemon flavor.. Maybe check it out before hand, just my .02 cents..

while at my local hydro store a few days ago i noticed a final phaze nutrient with "pina coloda" flavor, i personally would never add such a product to my green, i prefer the natural distinctive flavors of various strains, however i do use kool bloom which is suppose to produce more oils and enhance aroma and flavor naturally, but any additive your using to add a non-natural flavor is just and extra bs your putting in your lungs, keep it clean, keep it irie

I agree with you 100% ... Maybe in the case it was shitty tasting weed. But I believe it can all taste good with the proper grower techniques. I guess it depends on your personal preference. Could you imagine pina colada flavored with blueberry? hehehh I dunno might be fun for shits and giggles :)

One method to add different aromas to your herb, and can help to mask the Oder to a certain degree. Take a string and put it threw a needle, draw the needle threw the center of your stem, pulling the string threw the hole, now with the string in the center of the stem, dip the end of the string into extract oil/smell that you want and it will be drawn up the string via whick process into the plant.
Not my thing, but does work. I learned it from a local grower who now lives in Holland and does the whole seed breeding thinggy now, "Grow Doc". He specializes in medical strains.

Generally I dont even worry about flavor issues b/c I love the natural flavor of MJ. Sometimes though when I'm rolling a Dutch, I like to "marinate" if you will, the blunt paper in whiskey or something of that nature, adds a nice touch to the natural taste of the bud as well as the smell IMO......:thumbsup:
