another way of cooking bud?

If i boil water and put butter in the water then put in some bud and let it sit, then if i then strained the bud out of the butter water and put it in the fridge/freezer for the butter to solidify can i then use that butter to make like toast or grilled cheese (if i buttered the inside of the bread)?
