Yesterday I bought a glass pipe, it looks like this:

Am I right in thinking that you set it up like this:

or is that wrong?

I assume you need something to keep the weed on top?

Sorry dude, I'm a little confused here by your post, so I may answer you wrong...But if it's just a plain old ordinary glass hand pipe, you don't put water in it. You really don't even need a filter. After a couple of uses it will resin up and everything will stay in. Though you can buy glass filters if you have an overly large opening in the bottom of the bowl.

If you have a bubbler, then yes youâ??ve basically got the right idea. Otherwise just stick it in the bowl and smoke away. ;)

I don't know if water is meant to go in or not. The top picture (ignore the 1st post) is what it looks like empty. There is a small bit on the top where it looks like the weed goes, then a hole which goes to a big empty bit. I dont know if water goes in there or not.

I have posted 2 pictures. The larger of the two is what a bubbler should look like. These, you put water in (the bottom chamber only... you might want to investigate this part closely, cause wet weed sucks.) the smaller is a spoon, and in these, you put ABSOLUTELY NO WATER. you will ruin your whole bowl.

Well I have a normal pipe which I use sometimes but I just want to know if mine uses water. I found a pic of it, if you look closely in the bowl you can see the funnel bit. Looking at it again you probably dont use it with water but I'll check anyway.
I also added a pic that shows you where to look on the original picture.

One other thing, does anyone have pictures of a good pipe you have that you'd recommend?

if it works without water, then I say use it tiwhout water. That bowl looks like it needs a screen or something....

Yeah ok. Can you just get screens from tobacconists. Do I just say "can I have some pipe screens please?"
