I used to be a active member of Overgrow until they got shutdown along with heavens stairway. I have missed it dearly, everyone was so nice and helpfull and with almost a million members it was phenominal. They had the strain guide with almost every possible breeder and strain which was very helpful. I just recently came across this site and it is very helpful. How many Overgrow veterans are out their?

I remember about like 8-9 months ago i think is when it was that a bunch of OG veterans flooded the board, and I felt sorry for them and considered it a great contribution. I miss OG :(

I was a member at OG for a few years. I left about 4 months before it got shut down. They had mountains of wicked info., but when it came to posting and asking questions, they made you feel like a dumbshit for asking such questions. They woouldn't even answer, they'd just respond with a jackass comment.

To say the least, I never cared much for the people there. My definition of snobby pot smokers.

I did get my picture in High Times though with help being a member there, as they were linked together, but other than that, I found the people snobby and know it alls who didn't know all.

I missed OG as I just started to look for weed on the internet a little before their demise... searches still reveal the vast knowledge of OG,sorry I missed it :( :( :(

I am also an OG refugee. OG had the best layout, and info out of any site that I've been too, It also had the most insane growers, amazing bud and friendly people. The thing was, the friendly people were few and far in between. Cannabis(dot)com has a better ratio of nice people though. I think the main reason why OG had such a snobbish approach on the forums is because they liked to keep the n0bz out. I liked that at first, but must admit C.com has made me laugh a ton more then OG did. I wish it didn't slammed so quickly, as i lost many e-pals.

I've heard plenty of stories of what really happened at that site, but they were very open to seed sales, people hooking up like connections, mom talk, and dealers aadvertising. That's why non of that talk is allowed here. The people here keep it smart instead of stupid.

I found this site after overgrow.com went down. And I didn't think everyone there was a prick and an asshole. There WERE some arrogant dickwads there, for sure, but there were lots of nice and helpful people there too, just as there are here. Anytime you have a community with thousands of members, you're gonna have some dicks in the population. Just gotta ignore the assholes and cherish the good people.
