ok quick question, when a seed says "indoor flowering: 8 weeks", does that mean that from the start of 12/12 to actual harvest time is 8 weeks? or from germination to harvest is 8 weeks?

Flowering time = time from when you start the 12/12 cycle, not including germination, seedling, and vegetative growth time.

:D :rasta:

TGF

Edit: It should take you about another 1-2 months to do the rest of that stuff I said. About 4 months from seed to harvest. More or less depending on other factors.

Good luck

mate, thats right when you start 12 hour days it goes to flower. Also a trick for the inside grower that I swear by, and other fellow growers in Australia are doing the same. When you decide that you are happy with growth of plant in veg cycle give plant one more week of growth. On day one of this last week, keep lights at veg time still but pull strength of nutrients down to half. Day two add water and dilute nutrients again to less than half strength. Day three there is now only a small amount of nutrients to water, nearly all water. Day four only water but now add potash and half dosage. Day five keep water and potash mixture the same. Day six increase potash to required dose i.e 10ml per 10L. Day seven the last day of veg cycle, potash stays the same and now add flower nutrient mix to water at 20% of suggested required amount of nutrients. At the end of day seven shut lights down for 48 hours insure that rooom still gets air in and air out, but you may only need to have fans on say every 2 hours for 15m to move a few hundred Litres of air. And if you have been watering Perlite decrease water to 1/2 - 3/4 as water will stick around in pots a bit longer as there is no light to help evap. Coca is a bit different, you may be watering say 4 times per day under lights for 1 minute, I would only drop back to three waters per day at 1 minute. I couldnt tell you about soil because no one really grows like that in Australia. After 48 hours start your light cycle at 12 hours per day. Keep current nutrient mixture as prior to turnining lights of last day of veg cycle for a further two days. On day three of flower increase flower nutrients to half there strength, keeping and adjusting potash level as prior. You have finished week one of flower. At this point I will keep flower nutrient at 50% increasing this level by 5% per week. Week five should put you at 70% of required flower nutrient. at this point stay at 70%. Now you know that you have 2-9 weeks, but if under HPS or MH more like 2-5 tops of flower left at week five. It is important to keep a diary or even stick a piece of paper on wall and write what you do each week, and more important you wouldnt believe the amount of people that dont really know what week there in, DANGEROUS. Week 6 onwards keep eyes on buds and watch growth. Top buds usually mature first and will all reach there full growth within 1-2 days they will all stop growing, and the bottom buds should or most often stop before top buds stop. At this point you will notice the almost clear to white crystals on buds start changing colour at this point and start to darken, this is the the end of flower.
Keep in mind that all rooms, cupboards, and other setups are enviroments that vary. No one setup is the same so somtimes you need to adjust to what works best for you.
I hope that I have helped you out mate, Ive been always liked to mix it up and test things over the years and this way above I have stuck to for the last 7 years and has never let me down. Has increased the amount of flowers I get and has also shortened period of waiting for first flowers to appear.
Happy growing or flowering!
