View Full Version : Wikipedia is fun as shit

This may just be becuase I am extremely high right now, but I am having the greatest time using Wikipedia.

More specifically, I've created a bit of a game using it. What I do is think if something, anything, and then starting on Wikipedias home page i try and find it only using the links.

For example, I picked my favorite band Coheed and Cambria (a slightly obscure indie-rock band so it'd be a little hard to find) and tried to find it.

I went to ARTS to MUSIC to GENRES OF MUSIC to SKA to NEW SKA to WARPED TOUR to PREVIOUS BANDS ON WARPED TOUR to COHEED AND CAMBRIA.

I dont know how well I explained that, I am so high.

I can get lost on Wikipedia for hours. One simple search for a band can end up with me reading about Quantum Mechanics. I love it!!!

I like Wikipedia also. Good for everything, and also explaining myself on msn to people that dont know what im on a bout

I'm sorry, but are you kidding? They aren't an "obscure indie-rock band" at ALL. Indie means independent...and they aren't signed to an independent label. They were very big last year, so I don't know why it'd be hard to find...they've been on MTV and all.

And yeah, obviously I like wikipedia too as I used to to look up all of the above.

Here's a good one i did in school once, Boxing to Women's Rights. That one was tricky :D

I've done this before. Lots of really different shit gets linked together on wiki. Fun times. :D

I did say SLIGHTLY obscure and A LITTLE hard to find. My bad about the indie thing, that's just how they were described to me. And I dont watch MTV.

Some friends and I edited my town's wiki page..now it says


As of 2006, the upperclassmen have become the greatest known group of potheads in Central Jersey. Cannabis use among the HC high schoolers is prominant, even though they're forced to take unfair "random" urin screens. Even with security and the occasional few police cars chasing students smoking cigarettes off The Road each morning and afternoon, Central students continue to obtain and smoke the cheeba. While many Central Students have attended some sort of rehabilitation program, they still find a way to beat the system and continue their marijuana use. Congradulations to '08 and to future classes for being straight up stoners!

O hell yes, Wiki is good for everthing. I mean everything. Search for "Riding Shot Gun". I can not belive that amount of information on there.
