i'm so sick of people asking the same fucking question, 'WHAT STRAIN IS MY WEED?'
HOW THE FUCK ARE WE GONNA KNOW THAT?!?!
somewhere, there needs to be a great big sign sayin its impossible to tell, so stop fuckin asking!!! seriously, the amount of times ive answered that bleedin question in the past what.. 3 days?!? its fuckin stupid....
I agree, it gets so annoying, i mean, there's an average of 3 or 4 a week, sometimes more. It was the same in the growing forums, when i actually bothered to read them. People kept comming on asking the same stupid questions over and over again because they lazy asses couldnt be bothered to read. In the end i gave up with the noobs, couldnt handle the constant questions about watering, lighting, temps, harvesting. I mean... if they are going to grow, they should at least know how to do it all first.
Problem is, the best we can hope for is a sticky, or an announcement, and most of the people who kep asking for strain ID's probably wouldnt read it anyway.
However, i agree, it is kind of annoying, but i dont want to stop reading the pictures forums as well as the growing ones.

Wow. Ive always thought there was shit weed, regs, highs, super highs, etc.
Most of the people i know prefer to smoke only the good stuff, and if you are gonna smoke it, youre better off reducing the amount of carcinogens you are exposed to if you care at all about your lungs.
With regards to the strain, some might find it interesting to know more about cannabis plants, including but not limited general species origin. And it is not impossible to tell whether a strain is sativa dominant vs. indica dominant vs. Pure sativa vs. pure indica, etc.
Those people who ask these questions should make sure they clearly state what they are asking, and those that dont like it, well maybe they can sue someone or complain here.

some people can tell by picture if a strain is more like white widow as opposed to a c99 plant in the stage of flower or already harvested.

but while in the veg stage, heck you cant really even tell whether its a m or f without pre flower growth or genetic screening.
With the exception of clones, but they are not in early stages of veg since they take the age of past generation(s).

if thats the case, prices in the black market would not vary so much.

Well the reason the strain is probably asked about is because the people are curious. Nothings wrong with being curious. And as for us being tired of them, yes the question in thread after thread (even asking the strain of a bag seed grow) but don't forget that people that don't really know much about weed probably doesn't realize that there are a large variety of strains out there. Most of the slang makes people think Kush, Dro, Chronic and Purple Haze and some times Blueberry are the only strains out there. Most of the strains made famous are the only ones MOST people know about so many they thought it'd be easy to come to a conclusion.

yeh, but thats what im saying, if we could somehow tell the noobs before they bothered asking, hopefully then we wouldnt have to answer the same question three times a day...

Perhaps they should list that info in the FAQ section, since it is apparently a Frequently Asked Question?
