Never grown before, Nor have i really read up on it. Everything i've done so far has just been common sense. The first 3 pictures, are when i was growing her outdoors.

wasnt a real attempt, but after how long i watched her grow, i clipped off any yellow, not seeing much. but when i snipped a little off the bottom leaves i was horrified to see her die on me days later. bottom leaves eventually fell off and it was at that point i decided to take her indoors. Im broke, so this is the setup i have for now. do you think she'll live? im gonna take extra special care of her.

Number one: if that's tinfoil you are using, DONT! It can create hotspots and burn your babys leaves. Also, I haven't heard of anyone clipping leaves of marijuana plants- it just stresses them out. Your plant just needs a low stress environment right now. In order to help out more, we need your specs: what kind of soil she is in, approx temp, any fertilizer being used?

as small as it is i dont think i need to worry about hotspots yet. but is that really true? burn the leaves??? ouch. If i could afford some potting soil id be sure to get some but i have a lot of soil from my backyard that ive mixed well.

Potting soil is the next thing on the list. I just hope she doesent die before then. I really, truly , and honestly, have no idea what the fuck im doing btw, so thanks for the help.

haha well im working on my first grow too, so basically any info i give u i have found out from fucking up. so no worries. potting soil is pretty cheap, i like to use just some basic stuff like with sand, perlite and peat moss. the sand and perlite act as drainage, and the peatmoss holds water really well. but yeah, tinfoil can burn the leaves. it concentrates the light into a harsh ray. i dont really know how else to explain it. um but anyways, theres not really too much else to say at this point. when they're little, all they really need is light and water. keep reading through this site and you will learn lots!

i dont really see why she wouldn't live. if she has less than 4 sets or 'real' ie serated leaves and she is yellowing, it could be because she is too hot, or the soil she is in is too strong. if she has more than 4 sets of true leaves, she might need some nutrients. let me know whats goin on.

ps: i have had seedlings that looked waaaaaay worse than that, and now not only are they doin great- they are all females!!! (if u stress plants out too much they can turn male btw)

thats good to know. ill keep it updated. if this plant lives, you'll know about it. if it dies. this thread will die. shes looking actually a little bit healthier since last time i checked her. should see some solid results by tomorrow

from the last pic it looks like your growing it in a medium that air cannot penetrate, the roots need oxygen, alot more than most ppl think, like i say, it looks like that, for all i know it could be good growing medium, but thats for you to know and me to speculate....lol good luck

Removed the tinfoil as you said. Shes looking about the same to me. her leaves are starting to grow out a teenie bit but they keep curling. i think shes gonna die :(

But good news. I have a new sprouter. (last pic) And a new addition to the family. Look how adorable she is compared to that torn up beat ass plant. I want to do this RIGHT, without spending much money.

Whoa, that standing water isn't good! They'll drown! Your soil looks too thick to let the water drain properly...do you at least have good drain holes?

Yes i have drain holes at the bottom of the black pot. Because its such a big pot, most of that water gets soaked up in about 20 minutes. A lot of it drains out anyways, and as you can see, i water the seedling sparingly, as there are no drainage holes in that pot.

Do I have to buy those items separately? or would there be some kind of potting soil that included sand, peat moss and perlite?

Also, one more question. How much light should i be giving each of these plants. I know for the seedling 24 hours is probably ok right. I'm sure a seedling would love it.

You don't need to buy those soil components seperately, they are generally what's in a generic potting soil. The soil I got was from a local garden store, and it was their brand. I just added more perlite to it, so the perlite amount was almost 50% of the mix.

As for light, it sort of depends on your preference. Some people keep their seedlings at 24 hr light for the first month or so, but others have the light on 18/6 right away. I had my plants under 24hr light for like 2 months, but now ive switched them to 18/6. So it's up to you.

Letâ??s get the big details out of the way. I purchased potting soil and a lot of extra peat moss just cuz the guy recommended it. I purchased growing lights. 2 new seedlings sprouted for a total of 4 gorgeous plants. The plants WERE doing VERY healthy. They were a beautiful bright green and were doing absolutely spectacular. I loved those plants like my own. I was very obsessive in my care for them and it showed. Why am I speaking in past tense you ask? Well, they are all dead. How? I pulled them from the roots myself. Want to know why? It's a long ass story but very much worth the readâ?¦

So itâ??s a Friday night and me and 2 of my buddies are chilling at my house. No one is home but us three. We roll up 3 fat blunts and have a nice little smoke sesh. and about an hour after the session... there's a knock at the door. Do I even have to say who it was? These cops were pissed, knocking on the door like they were gonna kick the shit down. I didn't answer the door cuz I was high as fuck... and I LITTERALLY THOUGHT that they would just go away after they got tired of knocking. (Yeah I was REALLY high) I was shitting bricks because the plants were right upstairs in my bathroom with the light on. 4 plants... Thatâ??s a felony... Seedlings or not... I was scared shitless and high as hell making it even scarier.

I run over and as i'm heading up the stairs. I hear a big long squeak and iâ??m blinded by a flashlight. Yeah... they came through the backdoor. My 2 buddies were on the couch and I was just FROZEN SOLID and shaking right there on the staircase. They gather us all up and tell us there was a noise complaint and ask what we were doing, if we had been drinking. We all said no cuz we had actually not had anything to drink that night. Then this stupid dyke bitch pulls a flashlight on me and says "ARE YOU HIGH?" I say no and she tells me to do some thing with my arms at my sides and my head tilted back. I was comforted to remember that I had put visine in my eyes earlier that day. So a BIG SMILE graced my face when I looked back at her real quick. My friends, however, were not so lucky and got questioned about their bloodshot eyes. They said they were at the beach all day. Which worked, cuz they left us alone after that. But they still walked around the house. They walk up the stairs, and by this time, I'm already contemplating how much prison time im going to do... I watched the cops one by one walk by that bathroom door. Heard all their leathery equitment squeaking as they walked by and I COULD SEE THE LIGHT, (from my grow lights, not the bathroom light) POURING OUT from underneath the bathroom door. (scariest moment of my life) They searched the house for anyone else and questioned us a bit. but after that, they said good night, donâ??t let it happen again blah blah and were on there way. PHEW, CLOSE ONE HUH... its not over...

Just as they are leaving, my mom (knew about the plants, and didnâ??t mind), who was just getting back from her friends house, busts in the back door and runs up the stairs with the cops chasing her and yelling at her to stop. I hear her burst into tears and ask why they are there. She was just scared and didnâ??t know why cops were there. She was crying and screaming "WHY ARE YOU IN MY HOUSE?!". this screaming pissed the cops off. and they told her to calm down and told her about the noise complaint. she continued to scream "DO YOU HAVE A WARRANT?!" And the cops told her that because of the noise complaint they had full rights to search the house. (my mom is like me, she knows the laws, knows her rights, and refuses to be violated by this bullshit) But apparently this pissed the cops off even more and they ended up arresting her on a bullshit charge. a DUI. yes thatâ??s right A DUI. my mom was charged with a DUI, in her own home, and outside of her vehicle. They didn't allow her to get a jacket. not even socks or shoes. they just tossed her in the squad car and sped off into the night. i was so baked, that it all felt like one big nightmare. My whole world came crashing down. The person that gave birth to me, and was supporting my ass, was in the slammer. As you can imagine, i was in DEEP SHIT when she got out and my mom is even saying she doesnâ??t want me smoking anymore (she was TOTALLY COOL with it before, didn't mind, as long as i stayed out of trouble, which I did, up until Friday)

Long story short, She got bailed out by one of her friends and was more then pissed when she got out. She made me personally pull all my babies out of their roots while she watched . FUCKED UP i know. but it set me straight. Another sad tale with a sad ending im afraid. I'm sorry about what happened. Don't think i'll have another grow op up for a long long time. Least till i get my own place. Thanks for the advice when my plants were alive guys, I really appreciated it.

Sorry about your mom. I am pretty sure they DIDN't have a right to search your home, noise complaint or not...which makes it even more of a bummer! I hope your mom got a good lawyer and is fighting the charges against her. Good Luck, S

haha last time any policemen tried coming into my house without a warrant me and my brother both went mad, shoutin shit like 'get the fuck out now you filthy fuckin pig!' lol they wouldnt go so we started just goin mad and pushed them out, i called one an asshole, and he tried getting in again to arrest me, then when he got in, i squared up to him and told him to fuck off, and he wouldnt so i headbutted him, lol in the mouth, they took me to the pig-sty and i got a warning for assault on a po-po, it woulda been worse, but it was his fault, even the pigs he was with were telling him to stop, its funny, me and my brother arent violent to nice people, but its always funny to get violent in the presence of police officers... especially when you get them fired :)

thats a shame about your grow and shit, but thats life, one day you will grow again...

Ironically, im actually working at my moms office right now and shes on the phone with her lawyer as i type this. Not only is she pressing charges against all the officers involved (who, from what i understand, treated her like complete shit) She is also filing, individual formal complaints to their superiors.

haha, all i can say, is some SHIT is gonna go down. shes already got one of them released. shes working on getting the rest of them fired for police brutality. (they slammed her against the wall, chained her to a bench while they all beat her up verbally about how drunk she was, and tightened her handcuffs to the point of visible bruising) so yeah, some rights were violated, and there is still a lot ahead of us.

Thanks guys for all the support, I really appreciate it and i've made ammends with my mom. she just NEVER wants me growing again. she actually doesent want me smoking anymore but that bassically just means i gotta slow down a bit. i havent smoked since monday so i guess thats slowing down lol. things are going much better now and i have a full time job so my moms not trippin.
