Hi Guys,

I need some advice on my first grow please.

I’m currently in the 7th week (from going 12/12) of flowering and I need some advice please. I have a couple of plants that the hairs are starting to turn brown 10/15% and I’m keeping an eye on the trichomes but most of the fan leaves, and a lot of the secondary leaves, are turning yellow and the stems to them are purple in colour. Having searched the forum I think its down to a Nitrogen deficiency which as far as I know is normal for late stages of flowering. The problem I have is I don’t know how far from harvest I am and is the yellowing down to something else that I should be attending to. Secondly, when do I stop feeding and just use plain water. At present I’m using Bio-Bizz Bloom on a two on one off basis. The strain is Skunk 11.

Well Bazzae,

If you intend on cloning that skunk you should start taking samples over the next three weeks.

The best way to judge when a plant is done is by the trichrome colour. You need a 10X loop or magnifying glass for this. If most are clear it still has some ways to go. Usually when most go cloudy with a few amber signify that it is done, but it all depends on personal preference. The more amber trichromes you have at harvest will give you a more couch lock high and the more clear ones will give you a more awake up kind of high. There is a lot of info, so look it up for more details. Hope this helps and good luck!

I wouldn't worry too much about the yellowing, but if you think you've got a couple of weeks or more till harvest I'd be temped to give them a dose of your vegging ferts which are high in Nitrogen.

Well done so far and goodluck with finishing them off.

Peace :rasta:

Thanks guys,

As some of the smaller leaves on the buds are looking a bit pale I think I will feed with some Bio-Bizz grow as I've never feed them anything during the Veg stage as I used John Innes No3 which seemed to be OK, the grow stage was always nice and green.

The next problem I may have is I'm running out of time before my Holiday. I may just about get through the drying stage but may not be able to cure correctly. Any suggestions on leaving them for 3 weeks after drying would be appreciated.
