I have a Hydro set up, and the 4 net pots are close to eachother and my plants are getting bigger and bushyer, i have been doing LST to help get them growing in opposit directions and now the side growth and bud sites has reached critical mass, the fan leaves are abundant and ive tied down and tucked under so many allready,im running if space and they working to cover up side growth shoots, i would like to find some info on pruning the fans from the plants, i realize the fan leaves are produce much needed sugars that the plant must consume for growth and health, so my question is howmuch can i safely prune away lower fan leaves without killing the cannabis or severly inhibiting it growth?

As little as possible, and if any start off with lower leaves that may be getting closer to the end of their productivity IMO.
PS, try not to if you can.

Any fan leaf trimming is too much.
Unless the leaf is already dead.
Just bend the plants.
