Anyone ever heard of or seen or tried LST-ing first to get lower branches to act like main colas, THEN FIM'ing each one of those?
What would that plant look like? :p

Heh, but FIM 'em all!
What kind of a monster would that create?
I might try that later myself, but not for a few months yet.
Are you pleased with the results so far?

interesting idea faithless, but I fear it might be more than any type of MJ plant could handle. FIMing should be done sparingly and is a little risky so try it on a plant you don't care so much about.

I think you may to have to do them once or maybe twice at a time then wait for growth to resume each time or something. Lots of sticks too...
Would be fun though.

Funny you should ask, I just did this thursday night. I'll take more pics tomorrow. Check out the one that I'm holding a bong next to, its like the second pic of one post toward the bottom of the last page of my grow log. Link is in my signature. We LST'd it a few weeks ago and just fim'ed or tried to fim all the resulting tops cause it was getting pretty tall and she has another good month to veg lol. I know its a bad idea to let them get that tall, but we have to wait for the rhinos to catch up otherwise we mi ght be waiting 2-3 months til we can start the rhinos flowering.
Edit: posted a pic of the plant like 5 minutes before topping.
