hey guys, just starting my new grow with 5 Bubblicious seeds. they are at about the third node, still quites small. i had mites in my last and have noticed brown tips and spots on some of my leaves which i think might be the mites but i have SB Plant invigirator which should sort that out if it is mites. my main concern is that the leaves are quite dark greek and curled over like ram horns!!! thats the only way i can describe it... any ideas?
thanks guys!!

you should post some pics so we can see exactly whats going on, but if the leaves are curled it indicates heat stress to me.

Take a look at this diagram. wich one looks the most like your leaves?

Tips curled down-consider a pH imbalance.
Mites- you have to treat for them. A supplement might help your plant heal or protect it, but you still have to use an insecticide.

the thing i'm using for the mites is both a supliment AND insecticide. I've got some pics of the leaves althopugh not great ones.... please help... I'm worried about my girls!!! lol :smokin:

kinda looks like normal mutation to me... my bb's got all deformed for about 2 weeks, then straightened back out...

other than that, don't know...

If you had mites last harvest then you are Gonna have more. You need to prevent them right from the start go get some S.M.C leaf wash And wash every plant. And how is your ventilation and temp

antwanio126

temp is about 28-29c, the stuff i've got is meant to be really good, its been documented on here in other forums so i reckon it will sort out my mite problem, i know these little plant have got them but they've only had one dose of the insecticide stuff so i know the mites will go eventually.

Cheers KP, you reckon its normal for BB to look like this then? i heard the female BB's tend to look odd for a bit whereas the males look normal, which makes sense as two of the five look ok but 3 look all curled. hope it is normal and they dont die... lemme know what y'all think... Cheers!!!

Why is everyone here running such high temps? Have the rules changed? Try cooling it down to between 72-78 see if the leaves rejuve in a couple days.

this is the absolute lowest i can get my temps with my budget!!! my last grow managed alright at these temps so i'm reluctant to think that its the temps making this happen

Well if you are growing from clones than the temp might not be the real prob. But each plant responds to the temp differently. Cool it down no matter what. What is the budget issue? You absolutely need a fan controller. If you dont have one than that is your problem.

i am growing from seed, i have two fans in there but i'll take heed of your advice and might move my grow box outside? what ya think?

thcreactor

My advice isnt to move it outside that is a really bad idea. When you say you have fans "in" there do you mean that you just have some fans inside of it. This isnt advice from me by the way. You need good controlled ventilation if you want to get anywhere it is like me telling you not to use incadescent bulbs or something like that.

i've got two fans 'inside' the grow room with a vent letting a flow of fresh air in. i'm not doing a big commercial grow here, just one or two plants, my last grow was one female which i got to the end and the yeild will last me a good month or two. i just want to try to take two plants through this time... thats why i can really afford a thermostaticaly controlled ventilation system.

They cost less than $50 without that good luck. I cant think of a cheaper investment for ya.

well guys, the temperature is between 20-23c and the new growth is still curling in the same way. anyone have any idea why this is? over fert? natural mutation? one of them is growing tall and straight and quite spindly so maybe that one is the male if it is natural mutation? lemme know what you think.

cheers!!

my leaves also curled up like yours a while back i still have no clue what it is the plant still went through flowering though with no problem. my best guess was it was from over nute or cold temps

I must say none of my blueberrys ever looked like that at any point. As to what is wrong....no clue. Good luck.

Rams horns are supposed to indicate over fertilization. However, I think they usually check the color as well, too dark green or signs of burns should confirm that.
