I'm so pumped about this system. I can't wait to actually swing a controller and hit a home run. Or aim a seemingly regular tv remote at the tv and pull a trigger in a FPS type game.

Fuck PS3 and fuck the 360. Graphics don't make games!

i think your right. and besides, all the greatest games EVER that i can remember were from nintendo. mario cart, 007, perfect dark, star fox. remember how fucking fun those games were?!! staying up late and playing those games with your buddies. and mario party. omg MARIO PARTY. i mean everything fun came from nintendo. and what did playstation have? crash bandicoot. i think i might wanna get this wii

I think that whole controller thing might get verrrrry boring after a while.
But I don't see why they can't just come out with a normal looking controller as well. They prolly will eventually.

I had a slight suspicion that new controls would get old, but only a few of the games are 1:1 motion. These would be the hard core games. You'd have to stand up to play for instance. Most games will have a gesture bases system. You make a gesture, a flick of the wrist in a direction, and the game will determine which action to take. For example. You don't have to do a full throwing motion with your arm in Madden, you only need to motion the remote forward at a certain speed (which determines the speed of the pass) to make it work. That will work much better for lazy days when I just wanna game for awhile.

FPS's will not get old. Aiming at the screen rather than trying to postion a cursor with a little thumb stick. MUCH BETTER!

OH and to the little kiddies comment.... Madden 2007, Red Steel, Call of Duty 3, Need for Speed, Far Cry... do these sound like kids games? oh btw, these are LAUNCH titles.

Sorry, but PS3 and Xbox are making the same games over and over and to be honest I never really liked many of those. Like the first guy said. All the funnest games that I still remember 10 years later... those were Nintendo. Get used to it. Nintendo is stepping up to the podium about to claim another decade of video game dominance.

The Wii sucks. I can't believe it doesn't support HDTV and doesn't even play back DVD's. Say what you will but that is carelessness on the part of Nintendo. I can live with the graphics that are only slightly better than Gamecube ones, and I could probably live with the fact that swinging the controller would probably get annoying in the end, but not with Nintendo displaying their usual arrogance in foregoing features that should be a standard on the the new generation of systems.

I'd rather get a PS3 for the following reasons:

Metal Gear Solid 4
Resident Evil 5

Can't think of any more, but that should be enough. But I'm not going to camp out in front of best buy or anything, I'll probably just wait for the 2nd shipment or possibly wait until next year.

I definately want to get a 360 for the large epic games like Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and Asassin's Creed (have you guys looked at that game? AMAZING). However, I simply can't bring myself to pay over $500 for any gaming system, so I'll be getting a wii. It looks like they'll have better game selection than the gamecube, and not concentrate 90% of their game production on kiddie games. New Zelda will be great, but I'm also really looking forward to Splinter Cell Double Agent. I mean with the wii you can actually use the controller as Sam's knife!

Call of duty 2 online for the 360 is so much fun. Dead rising and oblivion are class too. I only played them at my friends tho. I think the new zelda, i think it's called twilight princess will be cool. I also can't wait for Mgs4, that's gonna be sweet.
