Here is what a guy I knows plant looks like right now. It has looked like that for about 4 or 5 days, doesnt seem to be growing hardly at all.
There is a 40 watt light about 5 inches from it 24 hours a day. Plant is wattered when the soil is dry, and an expensive soil mixture was used. The seed is ak-47. room Temperature apx. 74. Pot size is apx. 2 gallons.

I'm not sure why this plant wont continue to grow and shoot out more leaves like crazy. Can anyone help?

Make sure your water isnt very cold. you want it to be at room temperature. and 40w is not that much. your using a cfl right? if so you can have that light almost touching your plant. i would keep it at most two inches away. if anything caused your plant to go in shock you wont see any growth for one to two weeks (such as transplanting).

.

The light is not a fluor, right? just a regular incandescent? Won't work.
You can see how she's stretching for light.

severe lack of light, not gonna work for ya ... go back, and read the Basic Growing section (flip back, and read the older pages, too), as well as the FAQs, and Indoor Growing sections ... you're putting seeds into dirt, before doing your research ... good luck next time ... :smokin:
