What if the people we see as crazy, delusional, are just caught in some kind of alternate dimension? Their minds, and bodies, and souls, are all part of two dimensions... However due some kind of dimensional filtering problem, we perceive their garbled speech as inane, their physical bodies disgusting, their minds a mess... But what if in that other dimension, one which we cannot percieve, they are as normal as all of us, or as one of could be in that dimension? And their perceptions of reality in THIS dimension, their speech that signifies they are aware of their surroundings here, is simply the outcome of the similarities between dimension, or possibly a confusing dual-percepted reaction, one which we cannot perceive, two versions living at the same "time", but with only one physical soul?

Cmon cmon more what ifs that was the purpose of this thread
Edit: Oh, and I something I heard: If you do too many psychedelics, do you go insane?
Over a camping trip, my father and I mentioned drugs, which always makes me hyper-aware of what I say (what stoner wouldn't) anyway, he mentioned one of his highschool buddies, who he did acid with once. . . apparently the last he heard of him, he was jumping on top of cars, naked, outside a mcdonalds somewhere... my father said it was because he did too much acid.

ok no more usless shit out of me, back to the topic.
Alright so what if everything you know as reality was really all just in your head. Say when you were 10 you got in an accident and went into a coma. After being hooked up to life support for years your brain started making its own reality, like one really long, extremely realistic dream. Years later your "real" body comes out of the coma and you basically wake up out of the dream you thought was reality. Another thought, in your "dream reality" you get in an accident and go into a coma and this in turn brings your real body out of the coma it's been in for years.

Omg captin... that powerrangers video... that brought back so many memories ... But it also made me laugh SO HARD.
But yeah that whole "life coma" idea, i've pondered that a lot... Another alternate of that could be, What if we weren't even really human? What if this whole expirience of a human life was what other life forms expirienced as ENTERTAINMENT?! Life forms that had no need for "time", they lived outside the time dimension, but for entertainment, used our human lives like a video. But for the sake of entertainment, allowed their memories (as far as we can comprehend memories, technically without time a being exists with infinity) to be erased... I usually visualize some strange creature exiting a cryogenic chamber, pulling out a tiny rectangle from some kind of watch, with a little inscripition "Human Life" on it.
Good stuff.

What if the key to having super powers, was indeed just continuous attempt?
I'm sure you all know what i'm talking about... When you were little, you almost beleived you could fly, so you ran really fast and JUmPEd!... but didn't break the laws of physics. Or you strained and tried REALLY HARD to move the clock or a book with your mind....
What if the key to attaining these abilities was simply to keep at it? Maybe in five years your mind will naturally develop certain parts of your brain that you don't normally use, and suddenly, one day... liftoff...
I often think about this one: What if only YOU exist and all other people you see/know/hang out with, etc. are really only a part of a "plan" some higher being had in mind to "test" you in this life. So other people are not really experiencing life the way you do...they are part of YOUR plan...and are not "real" like you are.
Well, what do you expect - starting a "What if" thread?!?! LOL

You only go 'insane' from taking too many psychedelics if your brain can't handle it. Mentally, you have to be strong enough to take it, as well as smart enough to realize that dosing out day after day is a waste. I can easily see someone lose touch with reality like that. But those rumors of '7 hits and youre insane' are bull. All bull. Fluff is such a safe drug.
NOW
What if time itself doesn't really exist, and each 'day' we spend is just a relapse of that previous day? Everything's the same when you wake up, but you choose where to go with that day. Kind of like being forced to live the same day over and over again, only instead, we go about as normal a 'life' as possible, and make the best of it, doing different things different 'days'. So in a sense, each day is our entire life. We wake up, live through the next day, pass on to the next life. <<<if that makes no sense, I wouldn't be surprised.<<<

What if memory modification really existed?
Do you realize how possible EVERY SINGLE thing could be?
You could have gotten swept up in an underground conspiracy yesterday,
discovered area 51 and seen the president donning a "George Bush Costume" over his real alien body, but in a mere instant, a flash of light before the eyes maybe, your life is restored to the exact frame of being as before any of it happened.
It's a scary thought. It's the ultimate power. And imagine... what if it came through our Televisions?! Americans have like an average of 3 televisions in their houses, what if our entire country was being brainwashed into beleiving that they hadn't seen the atrocities of a hegemonic government and a police state living under our very noses?

Lol that reminds me of the movie "They Live" with Rowdy Roddy Piper. It's about a bunch of higher-ranking aliens posing as humans who brainwash the world by putting subliminal messages in all of the media. Rowdy Roddy stumbles upon a pair of sunglasses that let him see who the real aliens are. Then he saves the fucking world. God that's a great movie.
What if YOU had to save the world from aliens trying to take over, and only YOU knew about it?
Alright this is something I always use to think about when I was high.
what if the color that you see for something is actually completely different looking to someone else. But think about how you describe a color.. dark, light, blueish-green, whatever. Nothing really says anything about the actual color. Say when i looked at something green, the color you see when you look at it is like my blue, but we both call it green. weird..

in high school one of my teachers always used to talk about mind of matter...he said if we really wanted to we could tap into a section of our brain that has been barriered off and actually make it so, mind is over matter...like walking through walls and shit...i dunno he said it better...sounded more conviencing
