Flat white works better than glossy white?

Try going to wallmart and picking up their emergency blankets in the sporting good section. It's approx 3'x5' of mylar for $3.50!

if your going to spend the money on mylar mount it on some pvc pipe so it not on the walls , it will cause them to sweat and cause the walls to mold. NOw flat white paint needs some anti mold added to the paint or your walls will mold. When that happens you will need to replace the walls, not cheap.
Remember cheap paint is cheap and expensive paint is cheaper bottom line of cost. Anti mold with the paint will save lots of problems:dance:

While on this topic, a quick question in regards to paint. Would a good coat of white primer work as well as flat white paint?

And oldsanclem, with mold, is this true in most situations or is it from your experience (meaining conditional)? Could you describe mounting the mylar in more depth. Do you mean that having it flush against the walls will/might cause mold? If so, is it sufficient to have a few inches of buffer space between the mylar and the wall, and if that, then why pvc pipe, would it matter if it were mounted another way but still had the space? I don't think I'm really understanding it lol. Thanks for any help.

About the mold too, I just drywalled and am deciding on a wall finish, whilst my plants grow around me, and in my neck of the woods the humidity of the grow room is only 21% right now, do you think that is low enough to not worry about mold or should i just bite the bullet and paint with the anti mold additive?
