question about bottom leaves

ok so when the plant first sprouts and you have those 2 little leaves and the beginning of fan leaves.......do those 2 little leaves die and fall off pretty quickly?

Yes they usually do. As long as you have fan leaves when it happens you are ok.

Those leaves are called the catilatens, not sure of spelling. They are the source of nutrients when the seedling is breaking its shell and like the person said, they will fall off after a set of true leaves are established, so don't worry.
