Heya,
Top pics look good... notice the seedling pics are showing lots of stretch...
A good way to avoid that in a hydro setup is to start your seeds in rockwool plugs and hand-water them for the 1st couple weeks. Then when they have developed some more you can bury them up to the cotyledons in your hydroton. You end up with some stem buried that can develop roots, and more control over any stretch that occurs.

I like the seedling suggestion since they are growing roots on top of the rocks as it is! Yes, I will bury my next to the leaves!!! Thanks~

Here is the next step on the cabinet. I turned it over and switched out the top and bottom plywood. That is a 4ft flouro you see in the middle. It is just hanging temporarily. I will soon remove it... I am still waiting on the flexible duct before I start the 430 light regular...

The cabinet is 24 inches deep and 4 ft wide so as to fit the precut plywood from Home Depot. I moved a sprout area to the top. I will also have the carbon canister for filtration on top... I will use the space underneath to store all the excess junk...

I did some more work on the cabinet today. Solid side walls instead of mylar. Plus I drilled all the holes and put in some tie rings, etc for Sea of Green or whatever... I also attached the exhaust fan to a section of the vent tubing and then to the light globe/candle surround. It is working well and keeping the area cool. I need to find the flex vent tomorrow in the correct size and I will vent it out the top. (so it will be ready for a carbon canister on top) I also will mount the front top board where the curtain will hang from. It will have velcro to seal it shut...
