Hemp Oil

I'm not too sure where this post belongs, so apologies to the admins if I'm in the wrong place, please just move my post :)

I wanted to know if anyone knows how to extract hemp oil? I want to add it to my soap that I'm making and shampoos.

I'd like to not waste trimmings or throw away male plants if I can extract the oils and add to my things I'm making. I'm not even sure if oil extraction is something that can be undertaken at home.

Can anyone help me?

To extract hemp oil, you first need some hemp.

Male and female cannabis will create a THC oil that has effects.

Hemp contains no THC, or very little, so that's what you need, I believe.

Making oil from trimmings, even male trimmings, will give you a gooey, smokeable oil.

I may be wrong about the hemp, so maybe someone else can give you some insight. :)

Hey NoChowder, thanks for replying to me. I just want to add it to my soaps lol, not smoke it and I hate to see the plants go in the trash if they can be used ya know?

I can buy the oil online so getting it isn't a problem, it's more of a recycle question and also that I want to add it to my own massage oils, lotions and soaps.

Sweetie, just get it from your local health food store. SOOOO much easier! It is expensive compared to cooking oil, but it is high in Omega 3 and should be added to your diet, not your hair! Run a search on it.

Hmmm, I'm not entirely sure how to do that sir, sorry I can't be much of help.

I know you can make an oil extraction for smoking from males/female plants, so I'm pretty sure you do the same kind of thing with a hemp plant, and male cannabis is different from actual hemp.

Hopefully someone with some insight can help you further. :o Try a Google search on hemp oils, that might help you out a bit.
