hi ya doodles, see ya shout 4 help on eckys tread,i grow in a small ghouse i built meself,it only measures 4ft wide 5ft high. ive insulated 2 sides and the back with 50mm celotex, i use a black heavy duty breathable canvas so i have control over lighting but i can only grow from april to end of oct like this.u can get ghouse heaters if u need to, but some of them heaters dry the air out so u best to ventilate,i have 2x4" vents opp each other 4 venting. prob not been much help 2 u, but i wish u the best of luck on ur grow, let us no how u get on

Hi Weedmaster, thanks for replying. i've a 8' x 6' greenhouse. i've 2 parrafin heaters in there, its about 70 at the mo, could do with bumpin it up bit i think, scared to open the vent in case the plants get too cold. my other half wants to put bubble all over to insulate it but won't it cut the light down quite a bit ?
Aren't you worried about being seen or is it well hidden ? My greenhouse would be fantastic to grow in the summer, but trust him to decide as winter hits us to wanna grow seeds himself lol :p But saying that, the heaters are doin wonders for my carrots n sprouts !!

the idea with the bubble sounds good,as 4 it cutting out the light i honestly dont know but my ghouse is made from 3 ply poly and it works great, also a lot of people whitewash their ghouses. my gh isnt that well hidden but its not in yr face and only 3 friends who also gh grow know that i grow but im not worried about it bin seen, but my worst nightmare is it gettin stolen.what strain u growing?

I've 10 Northern Lights plus 5 unknown ( seeds found in a bag of green), 10 days old now, second set of true leaves popping up. We're gettin a bigger heater at the weekend so heat won't be a problem, it's just the light, i want nice big bushy plants n worried we aint gonna get them :(

no point growing in the UK with the current weather and shortened light. Even if we had a particularly sunny winter, it wouldn't be out long enough, it would try to flower as soon as it could I think. You should buy some lights with an extension lead, or wait until you can grow indoors.

yeah i agree, but if u cant rig some lights up, itll b an experiment, and its always good to experiment. just finished exp with 2 plants, by veg 4 only 5wks when i useally veg this strain 4 months, drying at this very moment, plant only aprox 20" high when norm b approx 7ft if i dont pinch, only got about 1/2of an oz of small bud but dont know what its like yet:thumbsup:

At the mo, i've brought them in & got them on my chest of drawers in my bedroom in front of window, they looking a bit lanky but have a grown a squidge over last day. I'm thinkin bout puttin them under a light, but not sure which 1 really ?

your basic problem is simple, you are relying on natural sunlight and you are hoping to get a full cycle of growth and flower. It wont happen, because there are not enough daylight hours at this time of the year. The plants will want to flower, whatever size they have managed to achieve.
