I've got some Bubbler systems that i've tried with absolute minimal success....do i assume correctly if i assume that DWC is the same as a "Bubbler" system?

Yes...DWC is simple and very effective as long as your res temps are good and all the other stuff.

DWC (bubbler) has been the simplest and easiest form of hydro I have attempted to date. I veg for 2 weeks from clone (till they are around 10") and end up with a 3ft+ monsters.
Only big issue is changing out the res, which can be a serious pain in the ass.
As with all forms of hydro, your #1 factor to worry about is water temp. 68 degrees solid all the time and as long as you keep everything else within somewhat of a spec...youll blow up strong. Water temps over 72 and your in for a battle with algae and bacteria.
