Information for the Beginners

I started really smoking about three months ago. Does anyone remember the times im going through? having no idea how many grams are in an ounce. Or the amount/cost of a nickel, dime, eigth, or quarter bag? I am about to buy two grams of some dank. Ive smoked this exact same kind before and i hit it once and i was fucked up. He is charging me forty dollars tommorrow. Do i have any fucking clue if im getting ripped off? no i don't.

This is basically a thread to help newbs like me. Stuff like amounts, general prices*a round estimate of your area is fine*, the basics. Some of the first things ya'll learned. I can't count the times someone has laughed or asked if i was kidding because i didn't know this stuff.*actually i think the number is seventeen, j/k lol*

heh nicks and dimes are kinda funny, like as far as the ghetto swag that is out on the street goin out in dimes and nicks, they are both about 1.5 grams that will fit in the bag. never really messed with the small bags like that but one time had a friend who i moved herbs for give me 4 ounces in dime bags, was so wierd, ya know how long it take to bag that shit up myself or with help, jesus..

I've never paid 40 dollars for just 2 grams. 3 grams, yeah. I think that price is a little steep, unless it's some hydro shit.. and even then I don't think I'd pay $40 for just 2. Is this a friend of yours or some random dealer you just met?

If it's a random guy, I understand the price. Keep buying from him (that is, if you get what you're supposedly paying for), show you're a regular and good customer and he should drop the price on you.. That's how it happened with me.. now I get hooked up with some dank that doesn't cost me a shitload.

I just buy hydro and smoke it on a once or twice a week basis. Smoking on a daily basis kind of slows me down mentally.

I am fairly sure it is hydro. I have smoked it before and been high as fuck off the first hit. Ill get the exact amount when i buy it.

My friend jared started spilling out numbers and stuff when i asked him. I swear if he applied as much effort into regular mathematics as he did the metric system hed be an A student...

Ya know, 'hydro' has nothing to do with quality, at all. Nada, zilch, no correlation whatsoever. When you say you bought hydro, that isn't saying anything except that the plants got their nutrients one way rather than another, and nobody cares how the plant got its nutrients while it was living except the guy who grew it. 'Hydro' is not a synonym of 'good quality'. Of course, that doesn't mean hydro-grown stuff can't be good, but it doesn't mean it IS good either. You can grow 0.1 percent THC commercial hemp hydroponically, and get nothing but headaches when you smoke it. I have no idea why people use that term to describe pot. And how can you tell from looking at a dried bud how it got its nutrients when it was alive anyway?

"Well, it looks nice, so it must have been."

See what I mean? Who cares how computers are assembled, and who cares how pot is grown? The things that matter are, how good is it, and how much does it cost.

Read my first sig. about "Dro" ;) I just get tired of repeating it, that's all. :)

As for the price for 2g's, that's a little much. Just make sure you look at it before you buy and make sure it IS high quality smoke.

The only people that sell single g's at a time, are the dudes by the beach or in the park. I've only bought a small bag once, I still have it and haven't smoked it yet, but I paid $10 for 1.5g's of mid quality smoke.

My other people sell 1/4's and up, and I just met one guy who sells 1/8's, even 1/16's if I needed it, but I was not impressed with his quality. I bought a bag from him last week, it weighed up 3.4g's, but the buds were so small. I don't know, but i burned through that in a few days when it usually takes me about 5-7 days to burn through a 1/8. I paid $35 for it.

I usually pay $50 for a 1/4 of high quality smoke, $90 for a 1/2, and $170 for a full.

Oh god i know how ya feel. people out here don't know strains they just know. regs,mids,fire,dro, and a new term "diesle". If i ask what my guy has he says. " I got some bomb fire, and the usual regs" thats it, nothing more. it realy makes me mad.

how can you generalise our entire country??? its not the normal amount we buy over here, it may be the normal amount you buy, but i normaly pick up in oz's as do many brits on this site. as for a teenth normally lasting 1 - 3 days, again that may be for you but not normally for everyone, on the rare occasion i pick up a teenth it will last me 4 - 5 joints which for me is a couple of hours not 3 days.
