After the cuttings take root in the rockwool can I plant them in 3 gal or more pots so they can stay there for the entire period of their growth and I dont have to be worried about transplanting, or do I have to place them in smaller pots and work my way up? Also what should the light cycle be set for when they are first rooting, and then when they are placed in soil? Thanks :rasta:

yes you can use a 3 gallon pot, light cycle is usually on 24 hours or 18/6 for rooting most use 24 hours on if using flouros, and once rooted and placed in soil you have the option of flowering them by swithcing to 12/12 if you are running a sog with alot of plants or keep them in veg state till they are larger.

Putting them directly in large pots is very inefficient when it comes to lighting.
That's why commercial growers of ornamental plants always seed into those little 6-pack things. You can grow out more plants with less light that way.
The trick is to try to make the leaf canopy pretty much continuous, so no light is lost to the soil.

That is how I do it Stinky. Also, I notice that when I let them get a little root bound then do a transplant with some morkorzi, incorrect speling, they just take off like a rocket without any signs of shock. I do about 3 transplants, but that may depend on time, space and pots.

Thanks for explaining everything stinky and blue, makes alot more sense to me now. What size pot would you suggest I put rooted clones in?

I'd say a pot that holds about the same amount of soil as an oversized coffee mug. So perhaps 4"x4"x6"deep.
A pot that is deeper relative to its volume is most efficient for indoor gardening under lights.
